So, different topic, how are all our freshmen this awful at FTs?

Lana McCarthy 8 of 24 33%

Amiyah Reynolds 5 of 12 43%

And best of the class:
Kendall Puryear 12 of 20 for 60%

Those stats will lose you a lot of close games down the stretch.....
and its not like the transfer that is the best shooter CKG has ever seen is better:
Collier 2 of 4 for 50%

Yeah those aren’t great numbers for sure. Small sample size for a couple of them, but McCarthy and Reynolds …. gosh, ouch. Pretty bad.

This team does a lousy job at even GETTING to the FT line, and then can't capitalize when they do. This is what happens when you recruit "under the radar" athletes that the top programs pass by. There is usually a reason they are looked over in the first place.

On another note, did you see Gearlds' quote that MSU took off their press because we BROKE it? Didn't acknowledge that maybe they stopped pressing because they were up by 27 points, but actually stated we broke the press, essentially rendering it ineffective, so they stopped pressing. Not sure I would come to that same conclusion!

This begs the question, is CKG this clueless or does she think we are collectively dumb enough to buy this?

Poole i can buy the small sample size, but 5 of 12 is just awful, especially for a point guard.
