Slow-day Question on Covid players coming to an end

With the “me-only” players or players with mom-issues (April-DGL as an example) shopping around the transfer portal, what effect will the decreased number of seasoned 26 year olds Covid players have on a dwindling pool of “insert” here players for schools? I can see some maybe 4-6 schools able to do so, but not the majority of schools.

IMO, if IU loses several players, they are in a world of hurt next year. Curious on your thoughts.
