Hello there.
Big news for GoldandBlack.com and the entire Rivals.com network, news we think will improve your user experience considerably and add some value to your subscription.
We are very, very, very, very happy to announce that, barring anything unforeseen, GoldandBlack.com will be getting new message boards beginning Monday, April 20.
Rivals.com has spent months having the new message board platform created, tested, tested again, then tested some more, and we have had access to the new platforms in beta testing, so we can vouch for the upgrades they'll represent and their functionality.
It might be an adjustment period for all of us acclimating to the new set-up, but we think it will be well worth it.
Come Wednesday, subscribers will be able to tinker with the new format on Rivals.com's Main Board, which will be the first site flipped to the new format, the guinea pig here.
Some highlights of the overhaul will include, but will not be limited to:
• Faster response times and a friendlier mobile platform (though our mobile situation is different and will have to be worked out).
• Richer content like embeddable video, tweets, photos and more with a better infrastructure to load the pages.
• An improved interface with our front page
• Private messaging between users ("Take it outside, you two!") and another stab at social profiles
There's a lot more. It's an entirely new message board and it's been a long time coming. We do appreciate your patience.
Stay tuned.
