Jackson, Eastern, Young, John, Tillman.......domino's should start falling soon.

Also guys like Epperson, Battey, Gueye, Smith, Roberts, Pierre-Louis and Ondigo.....could also factor in.....

I would like any mix of the guys listed above...but I think we see two versatile SF/PF, one PG/SG and one PF/C because of the possible exits of Biggie, Haas and Edwards.

Excited to see who joins the Purdue Family! Boiler Up!

I would say Purdue needs at least 2 bigs, maybe 3, cause I expect Swanigan and Edwards to go, with Haas a maybe.

Actually Haas will probably get more looks thank VE, nothing against VE but 6'7 wings are a dime a dozen in the pro's. With Haas getting a ton of exposure this year, I can see a team taking a shot with him. You can't teach 7'2 with touch around the rim.

Caleb is gone. I agree that Haas is the next most likely. VE has a lot more to prove before he is ready to be drafted (especially 1st round).

I think he needs to improve conditioning to get a serious look in the pros. With the pace of game in the NBA, a 7 footer that can't sprint the floor isn't going to last very long.

I don't think any will be first rounders. We'll see how many of them care about that. Personally, if I were a year (or probably less given the summer classes they take) away from a degree I would probably value that enough after 3 years that I wouldn't entertain the thought of leaving without first-round status.

On the flip side, if any of them can finish that degree in 3 seasons, they might as well take a more serious look at turning pro no matter what their NBA status is. If playing overseas is intriguing to them and that's the worst case scenario, they might as well declare.

VE is a helluva player...not very many college players that I would trade him for....however, I think his first step is still a long ways away from NBA ready....would be surprised if he didn't spend all four years at Purdue and ends up with his number being considered for the rafters....

Ehh....if Swanigan is 15 and 8 like I think he'll be (as a 19 year old) he'll get first round looks. His game is a lot like Jared Sullingers and he's having a pretty decent pro career.

I agree. My comment about 1st round was just to emphasize how far I think VE has to go yet.

Caleb is gone no matter what his draft status is. Haas, it just depends on how much he improves this year and the number of quality 7 footers entering the draft. I wouldn't look for him to leave unless he is 1st round.

Back to recruiting, if I was a player that wanted to go to Purdue, I would commit soon. If you wait then maybe some other player will commit before you and take your spot. Do you think any of them think about that?

Yes, they think along those lines. But, you have to replace [Purdue] with [Duke, MSU, UNC, etc...]. Give me a season when Purdue doesn't have open scholarships to give a poor, unfortunate 5* player left out in the cold.

Almost didn't get Biggie but they still had a spot open. And yes, I know what you mean. I was thinking along the lines of more 4 or 3 star players. Just wondered if they ever compete with each other to see who will commit first?

I guarantee both of them will be here all four years

I think if Moore stayed all four years, Vince will stay as well. Not that the draft is the same for each and Vince could end up leaving due to a weak draft class that pushes him in to the first round...but if Moore wouldn't leave and he was arguably a much better overall player than Vince, I don't see him leaving early. Now, if he ends up averaging a double-double and makes first team All American...and pushes the Boilers to an deep tourney run, he needs to go as his stock wouldn't get any higher.

Our near future playing time situation had me very confused as to why we haven't seen a commit yet from a big.

Who wouldn't jump in to take Biggie's spot, with all the success painter's had with bug guys?

Your over inflation of CMP's success is a little staggering. Step outside of being a Purdue fan for a minute. All that's actually happened is that a guy who should have been drafted in the first round (evidence = contract) was drafted in the second round. Plus Painter continues to fail epically on the only coaching stage that matters to anyone (other than Purdue fans).

He has no draw other than to say a few seven footers have come to Purdue and not had a PG to get them the ball.

Your blinding hatred for Painter is showing here because what you posted is simply utter crap. The only people that think Painter has failed epically are you negatwitts that despise Painter because he stole your lunch money or something. Other than a couple years Painter has had pretty good recruiting success and especially in the area of getting what is needed for the team. He has put several players in the NBA and several more from the current team will be there as well.

And with every post you make like this, you expose how simple minded you are and how little you know about basketball. You really should just stop posting and embarrassing yourself like this.

What little credibility you might have still had with some here should now be gone.

We'll see. I just love Purdue...not Painter.

I think just the opposite. Haas is probably the only one I see leaving. I'm not sure either Biggie or VE's games translate very well to the NBA. I do think they will both get drafted, but not until after their senior years.

I feel like we are going to end up with Theo John. Evan Battey. And two players who might not have even been offered yet.

I love Edwards but I don't think he'd make it in the NBA neither will has. Edwards is not athletic enough nor does he got a quick first step.Haas well the NBA game is just too fast for him up and down up and down the court that's not his game 30 years ago his game fit real good in the NBA not today's game. And when you say several it just makes it sound like Matt Painter has put a whole lot of people in the NBA. That's the way you made it sound.

And I'll be honest with you I'm 50-50 weather biggie makes it in the NBA. I believe he'd make it there but how long will he stay there. He's going to have to do a whole lot of improving.

Your mastery of the English language is impressive. Keep up the good work!

Sorry Nashville, but you failure here is a little "Staggering" in and of itself. Suggest you watch some of the last 10 years of Purdue basketball before you post again. Watch how well Landry, JJ, AJ and Haas are engaged in the game, and how well the team play together, feeding the big man. Damn it man! Get your stuff together here!

Hummel is playing overseas for one year but I think he would be surprised to find out he didn't play in the NBA.
.

I doubt he gets back to the NBA. Injury cost him his shot.

Look at his success with bigs. Where is it relating to recruiting/NBA? As I said quit being a CMP honk for a few minutes, and you can see it just isn't there. Landry was 100 years ago. JJ was a total flop outside of Purdue. The others have had no success outside of Purdue.

I think Swanigan will be the only early-entrant from the team after this season. I expect V. Edwards and Haas to stay. If things transpired that way, it would (as of right now) leave the Boilers with 5 available scholarships prior to the 2017-2018 season. I would think someone like Xavier Tillman would be the most likely commit with someone else like Jaren Jackson, Jr. being a longshot.

Tillman, Eastern and Jackson are the 3 biggies that are realistically still in play for us.
