Sharp shooters

Very cool. Hope we really light it up from the 3pt line this year. Boiler Up!

Wasn't the team over 40% from the longer line in Taipei? I'm hoping that's a sign that they won't be slowing down from behind the arc this season.

Assuming I used the search function correctly at sportsreference, Purdue is returning 4 such shooters while the rest of the B1G is returning just 3. They are Bohannon (Iowa), Jackson (Maryland), and Robinson (Michigan)

This is totally impossible. Purdue is known as a big man school. Painter runs everything through the post. He would NEVER allow his guards to jack-up threes at that rate. (sic- tic)

This is the main reason why CE lost his starting job to Cline late last season. When you have 5 regulars shooting over 40% from 3 and you’re shooting 34%, there’s no need to be forcing threes early in the shot clock. My guess is that Carsen does a much better job with shot selection this year.

I was at there practice yesterday and when I say they can light it up very very true. I no sasha hasn't played yet but he can shoot that thang and got range too.

Yes, the very little I've seen of Shasha I believe he will become a better ball player than many with the same star power. His range already is farther than many and he is more physical than the original critiques, when Purdue offered. Once he goes through some growing pains, I look for strong junior and senior years...with help his sophomore year

For Purdue to be as good as possible, Carsen needs to reign in some of his attempts...the shot might be there later in the clock

The most telling thing to me regarding SS was CMP commenting that he was ahead of schedule from a defensive standpoint. I do think he'll end up being a key player going forward especially as an upperclassman.

Okay, I'll take off the Gold & Black glasses....it's Friday the 13th you know.

I don't know the schedule he is on, but he has range and can shoot the ball. He is physically stronger going to the basket than Ryan and I think by his junior year he will be a versatile offensive player for Purdue that can really extend the D out on the court. He is better physically that I was led to believe when he was offered

Never take the gold and black glassses off... it makes you vulnerable to those who never ever ever take the creap and crimzn off

If Sasha hadn't gotten hurt, he would have easily been a 150 recruit. After his injury, he just fell off and all the P5 teams backed away from him. I think he will be a steal and he fits the system perfect. He can shoot and he has the size and athleticism to guard multiple positions. I am a huge fan of his, and I think by Junior year, he will play an important roll especially if he continues to improve.

Think we had a QB from Texas in the late 90s that got hurt in high school, everyone but Purdue and Wyoming backed off, and he turned out just fine at Purdue ;)

Yeah....he was pretty darn good, IIRC.
