The day Hazell finally took full control of his program. If I knew exactly what time he watched a replay of the game....I could tell you the exact time. Was probably puking or swearing for first time (or both).
"That's a staple for us right now," Coach Darrell Hazell said. "Everything will come off the offense's run game. You've got to know your personnel. I think that's the big thing about football in general, know what you do well and which guys do what well. That's what we're doing right now. We're being able to run the football with that offensive line and those two running backs, and the receivers are doing a good job on the perimeter blocking and that's part of it as well."
"You've got to know your personnel". Key line in that paragraph. Me thinks he's sick and tired of a couple individuals going "off script" too often. My advice to those individuals....stay on script....I don't think Hazell will be as patient as he was the first two years.
For the first time in Hazell era.....color me excited about the future. Don't know why it took so long...but the "too cool for school/emotionless" attitude seems to be replaced with some fire. Also liked the fire/anger I saw from several of the leaders on this team.....as they were asked some tough questions after the loss.
If the team stays on script....and stay relatively healthy.....this team is going to surprise it's fanbase (in a good way...for a change).
Boiler UP!
