Sebastian Williams-Adams official visit this weekend

I think it was Brian's on3 article he said his main deciding factor is being able to contribute as a freshman
If that’s the case then none of these kids are going to contribute that much at Purdue next year…IMO, Haralson was the only one that probably would have, but *potentially* not play as many mins as he would want …but that’s up to the Frosh to pick up the schemes quickly and be able to out perform the older guys. Painter never guarantees but always leaves that door open. If you can contribute and make an impact that’s best for the team, you’ll play.

Just briefly looking over Louisville’s roster (and of course it can change/turnover), it looks like they have a decent amount of 3s and 4s that will be around next year. So, not sure how much PT he’d get there right away and he wouldn’t be doing that much winning (I could be wrong), but too each their own.

You're upset that a teen is choosing a different school but yeah he's the sissy.

Be better.
Yah no hard feelings here… he gets to make his choice and see what the outcome/consequences of his decision turns out to be. Yah he’s good and would be a decent get for Purdue. My personal opinion though is that out of the 3 players for the 3-4 position, I think the other two will become more complete 3 level contributors. Could very easily be wrong but with the limited data I have found, that’s my conclusion. Good luck to Sisley wherever he ends up.

So does anyone have an idea of our odds with him?

Assuming based on photos and posts that Jacobsen was heavily involved in his visit. Seems like they hit it off.

Timing of this kids posts crack me up because it was something about Kansas the other day after he left Purdue but now he’s posting stuff from our visit.

Noticed this one too but not sure who he is…looks like he is associated with the Top100 camps

It concerns me that our final 4 run did absolutely nothing for our recruiting ability. So long Sisley and Catchings. So long Mullins and Haralson. Painter is already going to plan B. You’d think at least 1 top 50 player would want to play for Purdue.

Purdue will be fine without them. But it would be nice if some top 50 talent were interested in playing for Purdue and Painter.

I can’t believe players really want to play for IU or Woodson. I also believe the NIL MONEY is not much of a difference as players can make their own NIL deals

I have to believe the real reason is lack of guaranteed playing time.

I like how you make statements, talk to yourself, and then answer your own questions/statements. Then convince yourself you were right along….even though you’re completely wrong, well with that totally unnecessary first part. You answered yourself at the end.

Bro. How many times does it need to be said that Painter doesn’t care about rankings, rather guys that fit into the system and buy into the program. Not me first type of guys. Pretty sure CMP has shown his ability to find talent that were not highly ranked…start with most recently Smith.

Why aren’t these top 50 guys coming here? You answered it—they won’t get the PT they want. And top 50 talent guys are interested in Purdue, but again, you answers your own question on why they aren’t coming here.

And guys went to IU exactly because of NIL. Lmao. Cmon man. If you were 18-23 and a college offered you $1M to play there and another offered you $700k, you wouldn’t take the $1M?

Listen its because of pt purdue recuited 5 freshman this year and painter might be the only coach i know to tell kanon thanks but no thanks purdue will win with or without top guys just saying smith is favorite to win player of the year in the big ten this year where was smith in his class just saying thank you next

Potentially.

If, I were a top 50 kid. Money might not be the #1 difference maker. I would base it off of winning, PT, and how good the coach develops players. Painter lately has shown a good drive at getting kids recognized even if they weren't highly recruited. That in itself could lead to sustainability vs stability.

He’s specifically asking about this last year and it’s because of playing time for those guys he asked about. Sure, a top 50 kid will come here…some have already.

But also kids want the money (understandable) and that’s why IU got all of their transfers and same with Illinois too. It’s how it goes. Not a big deal, as they can (and will) transfer out.

But you’re tellin me if you got $500k compared to $100k at 18 years old, you’re taking $100k? I just don’t believe that 😂

I’m curious what NIL stuff we share with recruits. Like do we show baseline this is what you get and here are the opportunities our collective has lined up that will be available to you?

Do we share ballpark figures for what our guys earned over the past few years? Do we show the growth of your NIL that could be realized?

Reason I am asking - sometimes a large upfront guarantee might not maximize your full potential. The old adage that a successful AE can make more than their manager. Different risk profiles, of course, with different earnings potential.

Would be nice if it was made available to the public!

Well, I'm telling you my personal opinion.

Most of these top 50 kids have a handler to help guide them. What if I told you today you can make $500k but in 2 years you can make $5 million at the next level and under certain coaches that's a possibility vs. getting no playing time, won't develop your game and your going to a losing program.....but, you'll make $500k.

My advice to that 18 year old is to step back and look at what his ultimate goal is and I'll bet most would say the next level making $5 million.

Here's a courageous, original idea. Stop whining about it and become a big NIL contributor.

Sure and what if they don’t make it to the next level, as most don’t, and don’t make $5M? Then the kid thinks you lied to him.

I’d say the kid taking the $500k also thinks he can make $5M at the next level. It’s easy to say right now as non 18 year olds and having more experience in life, but when you’re 18 and have been told how great you are your whole life, it’s a different kind of belief/confidence in yourself. Hopefully, like you said, they do have a good handler to trust and they have the kid’s best interests in mind.
