Scrimmage Highlight Video

Have loved Spike since he was an Indiana high school kid. Watching those plays he fits right in at Purdue, but I hope her doesn't kill himself before the first game. Gonna be a fan favorite. Let's give him watch Michigan couldn't. National championship :)

The Edwards' are much better than the Johnsons (excluding JaJuan). Mathias and Cline were a combined 3-21 on FG's: not good. Haas was hobbled so it's tough to accurately gauge his performance. Albrecht appears to have done better than I would have expected of him at this point. He must be getting healthier. Thompson and Swanigan were as good as advertised, except Biggie still needs to shoot less threes and make a higher percentage of his FT's. Smotherman can battle, finish in transition, and if he makes his jumpers with consistency, he'll be a boon to Purdue's offensive attack. Defensively, who's the best player? It's going to be interesting to see if anyone takes "the next step" on that side of the ball.

Taylor needs to get healthy. This team will need as much depth as possible to be of a championship-caliber. They need more production from Mathias and Cline and less (bad shots) from Swanigan as well.

Here are the stats. Is Carsen that good or can we just not guard him?

Carsen is a scorer and he does put up some shots he shouldn't. He relaxed twice and made some passes going through the motions, be he can pass pretty well when engaged. Remember the teams were split and the refs let them hack each other inside, but year Carsen can score.
