What does this post have anything to do with the SCOTUS hearings changing quite a bit in the last few years?
The hearing for a nominee to the SC is just another illustration of the 2 warring tribes that is the reality today. If a candidate is nominated by the other party you must oppose it. Screw the facts. You will also win points in your party if you can dredge up some trivial BS on the candidate.
It has to do with the intelligence and qualifications of Marsha Blackburn, just one of the senators making a mockery of the hearing and playing to her constituents rather than conducting a review of Jackson's judicial qualifications.

1 “tribe” is much more vicious than the other but liberals don’t care. Remember when Kavanaugh was accused of gang rape in front of his wife and children? They were in tears and he deserved none of that.
I do agree the Kavanaugh thing was awful. When I created my post above, I based it partially on that.
She’s actually correct though, although I don’t know if it’s what she intended. The Constitution is the mechanism that allows all of us, and protects our rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. The Declaration of Independence doesn’t grant or protect anything.

And frankly I bet there’s a number of members of congress who don’t know the difference between the Declaration of Independence, Constitution and Bill of rights let alone the general public.
That is the right wing playbook to undervalue, underestimate, and marginalize black women. Look at what they are doing to Kamala Harris. Harris over 20 years ago dated Mayor Willie Brown. Perhaps he was married. Perhaps he was separated and on his way out of his marriage. Either way because of that one relationship, people on this board have called her a whore and cammytoe. Back to the SCOTUS. The very day that Biden released his short list, folks on this board and Faux News immediately claim that these black women were not qualified.

As a Supreme Court Justice Nominee that concerns me. Either a woman is a woman or a woman can be a woman that used to be a man. She was smart enough to not put her self in a corner, if it ever comes before the SC.

Understand. I was impressed with her opening statement which sounded like she was more aligned with Thomas than the liberal wing of the court in regards to the constitution. However her record is not consistent with her opening statement. Her sentencing has been weak, she got outvoted 2-1 in the liberal DC court who upheld Trump immigration, and her contradictory answer regarding CRT at the school she Is on the board don’t indicate she will apply the laws as they are written. Her record Indicates she is more of an activist and she should have been prepared to answer these discrepancies. I’m not even going to get into the male vs female question she couldn’t answer
Lol Jackson is much more qualified than Harris. Just shows check the box identity doesn’t help minorities. Instead, it highlights unqualified candidate failures. So ignoring Harris personal issues, you really think she was qualified and is doing a good job as VP? She has been a disaster and I hope Joe fills his full term

I’m not comparing Harris to Jackson, which is a very solid choice. I’m just pointing out how the right wingers like to undervalue black women.
So does the Democrat Party. Look at how unpopular Harris was in her home state of California. The party you’re a slave to also marginalizes black women.
She was unpopular not because she was marginalized. She was unpopular because she was doing her job as DA and the Attorney General which is locking people up. Some blacks took issue of locking up black folks.
Please share ONE thing Kamala Harris has done as VP that is worth two shits. She is the poster child of unqualified for the position by her ineptitude.
