I understand that we are terrible, but how can the Big Ten create schedules that are that unbalanced. They have pretty good idea what every team is going to be like, so how do you miss it that bad. Maybe on the bright side since we are this bad it was the perfect year to get this gauntlet. Hate to waste a good team because of brutal schedule.

I’ve not watched much football this year. Saw IU is 10-0. Looked at their schedule and they haven’t played a ranked team all year.

We had a creampuff conference schedule for years with divisions and still lost plenty even with a competent coach.

I really don't think with 18 teams, and certain teams' fixed opponents, that there's a great way to make schedules balanced.

Could go to 2 OOC games, 10 conference games to help balance it.
Yes, that would be a disadvantage over others (SEC) that play only 8 in conference games - but it’s an option with so large a conference.
Just maybe the powers that run it all with require X conference games to even things up.
