Saw this on ND Rivals page. Hope the first one listed stays where he is at

All I know is that if one of those guys turns it down, NDFarley will say that they really didn’t want him anyways or wasn’t a serious contender

So the choice that ND is faced with is either to give Freeman the job and probably keep most of their team intact or let him go with Kelly and let all hell break loose until they can secure a new coach, which could be after bowl season is over.

I was talking with a friend, the SEC and it's members seem to have the appearance of looking to bury the rest of college football. The gutting of the Big 12, boldly going after one of the blue chip programs coaches and trying to corner the college football playoffs are all pretty aggressive. I hope "The Alliance" is taking note and won't be blinded by the potential dollars of expanding the championship series, and instead lock the SEC into the 4 team playoff from here on out.

They may want to do that and that's fine. The problem is that even if each of them decide to pump a billion dollars a year into their programs, only one of them is going to finish first. Someone is still going to finish last.

3 things can happen if they go crazy on this.

They will come back down to Earth when the have-nots in the conference realize that they are still going to be have-nots in the SEC.

The rest of college football will adjust to try to compete with them by increasing their investment in college football.

The rest of college football says, "OK SEC. You do your thing and set up the best professional college football league you can. We'll just maintain our investment level in college football, take all the rest of the college football players after you're done, and compete amongst ourselves."

FWIW, I'm looking for some leaders to start to separate from this new semi-pro version of college sports we're seeing.

Not only that have less teams per conference even if every team won each year 20 year rotations?
