Sad liberals picking on this fine woman

Sage is a Gumbo/Sambo. She can easily slide over to Faux News whenever she gets tired of sports.

Is

every black person that isn't radical a Gumbo/Sambo to you? God forbid they have thoughts of their own.
With Sage's recent appearance on "The View", a person is a Gumbo/Sambo when it comes to learning about history where they rather protect the feelings of white kids than the feelings of black kids whose ancestors have gone through the horrible events.

Everything seems to be a black and white issue. It’s us against them, sad to see.

I'm not the one trying to remove books about Rosa Parks and MLK from school libraries. That is sad to see. I did not know Rosa Parks made white kids have nightmares.

Newsflash: the kids in school today were not alive during the era of Jim Crow, back of the bus etc. Why does anyone have to feel bad about a situation they did not create? Why not teach kids to be accepting of and respectful to all and strive for equality of opportunity?

It's called learning history. We learned about Rosa Parks and MLK when we were kids. Nobody black or white, felt bad. I'm not talking about showing a 7 year old child a picture of a castrated black man hanging from a tree.

In too many cases it is called laying a massive guilt trip on white kids. These kids weren't there. What should actually be learned from racial history? That you treat everyone with dignity and respect and strive for equality of opportunity.

All history god and bad needs to be taught as it can't and shouldn't be erased. Revisionist history is not what should be taught.

It is foolish to white wash history, black history or otherwise. Black history is part of US history, good and the bad. Schools need to teach the bad like slavery and Jim Crow. Schools also need to teach the good part of black history like the black inventors like Benjamin Banneker, Garrett Morgan, Madam C.J. Walker among several others.

Would you include what the Civil War and what it abolished, the 15 amendment, the blizzard of social legislation starting in the mid 60's? Would you then teach what we need to do going forward as I stated above?

Civil War and 15th amendment, oh yeah. That is what is currently taught. We all learned that years ago. About going forward, yeah that should be discussed in social studies classes if they still have those in middle school an high school.

Like the good Lincoln and Grant did as Republicans vs the racist Democrats?

They do. Would you teach that tremendous progress has been made from a horrible start? What would you teach needs to be done going forward? Education after all is supposed to be about the future.

Hope you’re not basing this statement because she is bi-racial and like Harris Faulkner is married to a white man?
Man, I told y'all before I don't care who people are married to. I did not know who Sage was married to. Did not know she was married. Again, don't care. However, it is odd that a lot these Gumbo/Sambos are married to white women or men.

Lincoln was a racist like anyone else in those days. The so-called Emancipation Proclamation did NOT free any slaves. The Emancipation Proclamation was just a mere military document that just ALLOWED slaves in the confederate states to join the Union army. They needed the additional numbers to help win the war. The slaves in the Northern states remained slaves. On the other hand Ulysses Grant was awesome. After the war, when he was president, the reconstruction era, 7 years after the Civil War began, was arguably the best years in black history. Blacks was able to vote freely, blacks ran and held public offices, held state and US government positions and even appointed to the US Senate. Grant sent Union troops to the south to ensure all of this. Hayes, the next president and republican by the way, reversed what Grant did. Reconstructed ended, Jim Crow began. The KKK rose up and all hell broke loose for blacks until the 1960's.

GD you are a F***ing idiot and a racist to boot

If it is history I'll teach it all. From the first blacks in American in 1619 to the current. If it is a sociology or social studies class, yes discuss what can done to move forward. Howver, students need to know what they are moving forward from. You can't just white wash the horrible things the country has done to blacks, native americans, the Japanese and even themselves. Look how they bad treated each European ethnic group when they came to this country in the late 1800's and early 1900's.

On cue, Bonefish1 will chime in to stop whining about being a victim.

The KKK was in place before and threatened the lives of Grant and other Republicans. The KKK consisted of Democrats by the way

Yes, that's why Grant sent the Union troops to the south. Then the next president removed the troops and the KKK were able reign their terror freely.

Why do you guys keep bringing up thar the KKK and others were Democrats like it is new and breaking news. Most people know that they were Democrats. Democrat Calvin Coolidge was probably the most racist president in the 20th century. FDR was another racist Democrat. Wouldn't even invite Jesse Owens to the White House after the Olympics.

Maybe it’s because this fact gets lost in the push to revise our history by the leftists that permeate today’s education system

There was no America in 1619. It took another 160 years. What is most important to teach is what we do from here? Given the increasing diversity of the U.S. the ONLY way to move forward is to advocate for universal respect and equal opportunity for all. There is no other way this country survives. 1619 won't matter.

Should we be teaching white kids that 53% of violent crime is caused by blacks which only represent 13% of the population?
Should they be teaching white kids why 71% of black children are born to single mothers?
Should they be teaching who’re kids that the leading cause of death of black men age 15-35 is murder at the hands of other black men?

When will you quit using what happened 100 years ago for the failures in the black community today?

Why has every other immigrant group, including black African immigrants, surpassed native blacks in every measureable socioeconomic factor?

Right on que. You arrive.

What I said today did not reflect on anything about the failures of blacks today. I was just explaining history to someone who was willing to engage in discussions about the topic even though it was detrimental to black generations after but that was not focus of our discussion earlier today.

I explained to you before on why that is the case of other immigrants success. I can't see why you don't understand this. First of all other immigrants groups didn't have to go through 100 years of Jim Crow. Irish, Italian, Polish, Serbian, Greek etc immigrants were not castrated and hung from trees for 100 years. Or had to count the number of jelly beans in a jar in order to vote. Redlining, syphilis experiiementations, Had to have a grandfather that was a free man in order to vote etc.

As far as the African immigrants. A lot of them are successful and some them are not. African immigrants have not been subjected to cultural conditioning that white people are the superior race that white people have trusted upon folks in this country from the get go. I know you haven't but if you talk to an African immigrant, they will tell you that they don't know that they are black until they get to this country. In Africa, they are from this country, that country. Belong to this tribe or that tribe etc. In Africa they are not taught to be inferior to anyone like here in the US. Therefore, they come over with their feet running. Whether it is college or starting a business. A Nigeran guy once told me that in Nigeria, getting a college degree is expected of them. So these are some reasons why their success rate is high.

I agree with your last paragraph. Had a friend who worked at Ford as an engineer who came to the US from Nigeria who happened to be a prince from a tribe. Highly educated who wasn’t burdened with the US slave history. Last I talked to him he was thinking about returning to Nigeria to start a business and become more involved with his tribe

He says Harris Faulkner PERPETUATES WHITE SUPREMACY and when he was asked for proof of this, he made excuses about not having time and then disappeared. Isn’t that right @BNIBoiler ? Your dumb ass has no proof!!

Can you name one black conservative that you support or don't consider a Gumbo/Sambo?
For one thing, most black conservatives aren't Gumbo/Sambos. I really like Michael Steele and the late Colin Powell. Alan Keyes wasn't bad. J.C. Watts wasn't bad. Any old school conservative/Republican were decent people at one time for that matter. Other than them I can't think of any other black conservative I can support. Tim Scott was ok until he became a Chumper.

So, when was the last time a black was lynched.?
Thousands of blacks are killed by other blacks every single year. Very few die at the hands of racism.
Blacks are the only ones now responsible for the problems in black society.
Until blacks (you included) quit with the victimhood, your culture will never change.

The last lynching that made national news was George Floyd.
