Not surprised by anything with the WBB team any more. We will virtually have a new team to look forward to. Could be a blessing, I guess.

This is what happens when you have players who are permitted to return to the program, who drained others. No one wants to play in a program that elevates the wrong kind of player.

I doubt this has anything to do with Madison, Jones high school team-mates have all left and she was forced to play out of position this last year. Next year was looking far worse, so she bailed while the plane was still airborne

I take offense at your continued baseless smears on Madison, it says a great deal about your character, or complete lack on one. I criticized Colliers playing time as an example of Gearlds gross incompetence, but never maligned Collier's character or accused her of being a cancer on the team. I reserved that for the inept coaching

More evidence that KG is a failure, how can you lose people you recruited after 1 or 2 years? She said she had a plan, well its not working and when everyone is leaving that means the coach has lost the team and can't coach. Look for her to be relieved of duties shortly after the start of next season.

At absolute soonest it will be the end of next year, if Bobo the clown even notices the state of wbball at Purdue.

This boat is taking on water. I sure hope KG has a surprise for us all to stop the leak!!!
All 9 USCal players returning for next year including JuJu could transfer in and CKG would coach them to an 11-7 Big Ten record and a first round loss in the NCAA's

I realize you don’t agree with me and that is fine. What I share is factual. You can share your disdain for players and it’s fine. Someone else shares thoughts and it’s a smear campaign. You’re so predictable. She couldn’t handle pressure. She couldn’t handle stress. She crumbled on many occasions. She picked and chose when she played. She left the team and quit the program. She was removed from the roster. So excuse me if I’m not impressed. We can disagree and you can call me what you want. Facts remain.

Jones bailed while the plane was still airborne? Isn’t that what Madison did? It’s also what Jayla did as well. I’d like to get some elite players here who understand the grind, who honor commitments and who attract others.

I will agree that Madison seems to be a little fragile mentally. But to blame her for Jones leaving is ridiculous and is just advancing an agenda of personal hate on a player. Frankly I'm not sure Madison coming back to this train wreck of a team will be good for her mental health, and certainly not with fans like you. Madison did her 4 years, graduated, and took a year off to get married and recuperate. She didn't bail on the program, and she is coming back, easily the best player on the team as it stands.

You are the poster child for the stigma thrown at mental health issues.

Elite players don't come to inept and failed coaches.

You were also happy to see Terry graduate, how'd that work out?

So you state that you have facts, more than us, the outspoken crazy fans here. It hints like you are saying you are closer to the team with knowledge more than casually. Is there any possibility that you are an actual player's relative or have a connection to the team? I don't know why I am feeling baited to this, but something taunts me with the way you state your reasoning. Like you know more, more confidently. Maybe I'm just a poor stupid nut on a Monday.

This one stings. Anyone who has kept up with this board knows I've been a big supporter and defender of Spider Jones. What little hope I had at the program righting the ship and being around .500 just went down the drain.

No way of sugar coating this imo. She wants to go somewhere where she can win and be put in big time games. Jones was a true competitor and I always felt for her being on such bad teams. A bigger NIL opportunity doesn't hurt either but this feels like someone who wants to experience the NCAA tourney and be in competitive games night in, night out. She came from a highly successful HS program.

I said I didn't think she'd transfer and I was wrong. From her statement, it does seem like it was a tough decision for her and maybe there's a part of her that wanted to stay loyal to CKG and the staff.

I wish her the best and hope she balls out at her next stop.

I hate to see her go. Hope things turn out good for her; I can’t see how it is going to be better for Purdue wbb, but you never know… Dark clouds everywhere: it looks as if Madison Layden may have kicked a poster’s pet. Hope she’s not bringing that with her

I’d never refer to you as an outspoken crazy fan or a stupid nut either. I can respect different opinions. It’s a discussion board. We all have our opinions. I’m not sure though that you have to have inside information to state what I have. A middle school recruit could see she struggled three of her four years. That same middle school recruit could surmise that CKG has no ability to grow young women and be assertive. It’s not hard to see.

Coach was putting the keys in Spiders hands, she’s chosen to leave for greener grass it seems, maybe it’s NIL money although like all else on this team I don’t see teams breaking down doors to get her. She had a good situation here, if she didn’t think so that’s on her, no problem with her leaving, go get others!

That’s why I’d be surprised if she doesn’t follow her high school coach and teammates to their promised land

Hmmm? Okay, now you have increased my suspicions since you deflected from my question and never answered it. Michael gave his opinion, but you answered it with not once, but twice that you have the facts, so you know better than him. I can say that a bird smacked into my window because I have a splatter on the window and there are feathers on the ground, but if I didn't see it happen or unless someone I trust said they saw it, I can't say it is fact. We can all assume the problems, like stating what drives our opinions, but unless we see it internally and close or have a good source like an inside source, it is the same as an assumption. So the "I know it's fact" is not any better than an opinion if it's not backed as to why. I actually think you do know better for some reason. We actually would like to know the facts, so you won't be judged for sharing if the answer is "yes". We can't believe our once proud program has inched toward the lowest point of existence in this sport.
