I have a close friend whose son is a West Point grad and a very high level commander with the Rangers. I don't know his rank, but he's done several tours in Afghan. His guys were IED'd several years ago, and he lost some of his guys and he was out of commission for several months. Two weeks ago he was shipped over there and is one of the guys in charge on the ground. I talked to his dad tonight to see if he's okay. He has not heard from him for nine days, and my friend told me that his son said, before he left, what is going to happen is that a bunch of us are going to get blown up on the ground by the crazies during this process. He said it's an impossible situation over there because day in, day out you have NO IDEA who you can trust and who you can't trust over. Your head is on a swivel 24*7. Amazing that he predicted this. Can you imagine being put in that situation? Unbelievable.
