With the two recruits, and their destinations, being somewhat intertwined, I wanted to take a quick look at Raab's recruitment to Cal (no relation) from a Cal fan's perspective.

Raab is:
- Huge talent from in-town (or very close by)
- Everyone reporting my school (Cal) is his favorite
- Offer has been extended
- Was supposed to commit right after the state championship game (several weeks ago) but has not
- Has not even announced a time frame for committing

So, why hasn't he committed yet? What is he waiting on?

The coach isn't going anywhere. There aren't any Cal players waiting to see their draft status before leaving early. So what gives?

If we were talking about a player recruited by Purdue in the same situation (grew up in Lafayette, huge Purdue fan all his life, etc.) you could be assured that there would be plenty of opinions about why the player hadn't pulled the trigger yet.

It's my feeling that Raab is either waiting for Swanigan to commit to Cal before doing so himself, or he's still looking around for another school to commit to. Arizona has been the one that seems logical but, per Brian, the Arizona people don't think they'll get him. I have to believe he's still looking around and perhaps waiting to see who stays and who leaves at some of the other programs (Duke, KY, etc.) before committing to his home town school.
