Go under on Copeland (6’6” pt guard has 122 assists to 94 turnovers) and over on Richards 6’4” (85/196 behind arc) switching if unable to stay on top on Richards. Richards is the one that can knock them down behind the arc. Try to fight through the screens when able to cut down switching on Garcia and Parker as they are capable of hitting 30+% behind the arc. Keep Shumate (6’6” ), Charles (6’9” )and Selebangue (6’8”) off the boards…as they are high offensive rebounders . Shumate (6’6” ), Charles (6’9” ) are the shot blockers along with Garcia at a guard spot at 6’3” Shumate is little threat to shoot the 3 ball (17/55) and so position on D is important as he wants to drive and rebound. Selebangue will shoot it even less behind the arc (0/1) and so Trey will have Sumate/Selebangue I’m guessing to keep him inside more and Caleb/Cam will have Charles (49/135) since he is more of a threat outside based upon numbers and unaware of actual quickness. This team is athletic and was very shaky against full court zone pressure and I have no idea how they do against half court pressure and concerned that this team wants to drive the ball and might enjoy a team gambling on D for the most part. Keep them out of the lane with good individual D to lessen the help and lower the rotation distance. Purdue just needs to shoot well and play their game with Trey with no foul trouble and Purdue should be able to have a happy trip back to Indiana. 😉
