Purdue vs Ohio State for a spot in the championship

Sueing and Thornton were tough, and they got a huge lift from freshman Roddy Gayle, Jr. off the bench......took it to Michigan State all game and weathered a few runs. Wouldn't have thought they had enough with Sensabaugh out.

Will be another battle for the Boilers tomorrow......going to have to bow up and be ready again.

They should be worn out but can’t take them lightly. I guess Key is out for them?

Key is done for the year, TXGB. They'll know more on Sensabaugh tonight I guess (knee soreness). He might be out again tomorrow.

Wisconsin, Iowa, and Michigan State - pretty impressive so far.....hopefully, the run stops tomorrow, but you never know - they have some players.

Sensabaugh sure didnt seem hirt looking at him. I wonder if maybe it was a curfew thing and they just listed soreness.. I bet he plays tomorrow.

I coukd be way off.. probably am

That OSU team started 4 true freshmen yesterday and simply - they're starting to figure things out. I believe they were a top 7 or 8 class. And here's the scary part - they have another top 5 or 6 class coming in next year. They were also missing their top 2 players today - Key (out for the year) and Sensabaugh. They are going to be lethal next year

He is sitting out because his draft stock is way too high to risk injury on a seemingly meaningless tourney.

Part of me says he misses tomorrow and plays if they make the final.

Sensabaugh is currently projected in the upper 2nd round in a couple of draft projections.

So, I haven't really followed OSU much this year. What's their deal? 10-3 start and top-25 ranking. Then lost 9 of 10. There were some close losses but a few clobberings as well. Now, they've won 5 of 6 and look like an NCAA Tournament team.

Have they had a lot of injuries? Locker room dissension? Youth? I mean, it's OSU, so I assume they have plenty of talent.

Is another Illinois '99 run in the offing? That was epic, but I don't want to see Purdue on the losing end of something like that.

Hard to say unless we have an OSU fan to provide perspective. My assumption is that the Zed Key injury against us tossed them into some strange situation where they were trying to figure out lineups. Possible synergy and locker room issues? On paper, they certainly have the pieces to have been a really good team with or without Key.

Purdue dominated MSU in both games this year. OSU is playing better right now. Obviously.
"Dominated" might be a stretch. That was a 1-point game in East Lansing. But, I did feel like Purdue had favorable match-ups against MSU. Ohio State has obviously found another gear since we last saw them.

We shall see.

Ah, I forgot that final score at East Lansing. That was one of those game-of-2-halves where Purdue dominated the 1st half and then it was nip-and-tuck the rest of the way.

OSU had a lot of quit in them during the heart of the B10 season. I don't think anyone knows why. I think they are a paper tiger in the B10 tourney.
