Purdue vs NW and Refs.

Formally, I hated O$U and Meatchicken, mostly because of their fans.

I think I'm finding a new team to hate, because of their fans.

To come to this board, and rub it in after a game like last night . . . . .

I hate the Buckeyes because we are something like 1-21 since 1971 against them.

Given that we have 5 in a row on you and no one on your roster has ever beaten NU, I'm not surprised the hate is emerging. Let it burn and consumer you.

Feel the power of the Dark Side.

You hate the Buckeyes because Northwestern historically sucks, period. Your program has been the Vanderbilt of the SEC. I love how cocky your fans are getting since you've seen some success over the past few years. In the end, like Vanderbilt, you'll go back to sucking. 50-32-1 against Northwestern. We'll use you as our doormat game again soon. And no one here will hate you or even care about the rebuilding year loss to you. We'll just feel pity for you.

First interception Sindelar threw was clearly pass interference as Zico got tackled. On that long pass to Skworonek, he pushed off and it didn’t get called. Huge swings on both of those plays.
He definitely did not push off, but may have tugged the DB’s Jersey. Officiating didn’t cost Purdue the game discipline or lack thereof did. Good luck going forward we need a strong West in The B1G.

For all the hype about your D it didn’t look that solid last night. Gave up over 200 yards rushing and 472 yards total. You guys had 21 points off of 3 picks. In the second half, NW didn’t look like the better team. They looked like the luckier team.
you create luck whether it is good or bad.

NW can be content that they are a little better than Indiana and Rutgers historically. Francis Peay and Dennis Green say hello.

Dude, that was a clear push off. Even the commentators talked about it on the replay. It was a badly blown call, just like the no call where your DB tackled our WR in double coverage with the ball in the air. The long and short is Northwestern got the breaks that allowed them to win this game. Feel fortunate.

They weren't that bad. Purdue benefited from some bad calls as well.

I have no dog in this race and was actually pulling for Purdue. Purdue had a lot of undisciplined plays (especially that last call). They certainly got screwed on a few as well but most calls were fine. The NW "fumble" for example was clearly never possessed. I will say NW definitely benefited the most from the officials but that's how it works in every game. Someone is going to get the benefit. I don't recall any game changing bad calls or non-calls that won the game for NW that Purdue didn't have the ability to change otherwise. Purdue should have won had they played smarter and came out ready on defense but lost the turnover battle badly and got off to a slow start on D.

That’s how it works in every game? How often does Michigan get road officiating at home...

Can’t wait till next year when Green has Karlaftis and hunter in his face

All the INTs were in the first half. Your reading comprehension sucks.

In the second half, NW didn’t look like the better team. They looked like the luckier team.

They had the good fortune of putting up 21 points off of interceptions. Amazing how 10 points doesn't overcome a 14-point halftime deficit, but hooray for winning the second half!

How about the four losses before this one?

Boi-L-L-L-L-L-er UP!

Congrats. You beat 3 Darrell Hazell teams and barely beat two teams with mainly his recruits. What an accomplishment for the best Northwestern has ever had...

Grade A d-bag you are. NW fans should know about losing FB, as NW is one of most losing programs in college history. Congrats.

And by the way, kiss our Boilermaker a$$es.

All-time record head-to-head. Purdue 50, NW 32. 50-32-1. We’ve pretty much owned you throughout BIG history.

I’m fairly certain none of the NU fans posting on here went to school there. Their alumni are good people. These are just the fat slob “da bears” type fans.

I'll try to let it consumer me.

It's about arrogance. Hope when we start kicking your rear again, that we win with graciousness (oh sorry, that's a 4 syllable word, that you may not be able to comprehend.

And yet we’ve beaten you five straight times. What does that say about you guys?
It says Darrell Hazell was a horrible coach. That’s not too hard to understand, is it? Purdue is obviously improving and has played NW increasingly competitively under Brohm and in coming years, when he has more of his players, Brohm is going to own NW. Bank on it.

It says Darrell Hazell was awful and that you guys finally aren’t an embarrassment. Doesn’t change your historical ineptitude.

To be fair, you are treating NW like they are the same every year. This year's NW team is supposed to be somewhat of a down year for them - and many predictions have them worse than Purdue. Not sure I'd go with a "trend" argument.

It doesn't appear that NW is going to take the "next step" to being a competitor with Ohio State, Michigan, etc. So they are a program that is good to keep tabs on to make sure we're closing the gap.

Does the fact that we were a top five program in the early 1960s somehow make today’s program any better or worse?

I see you are still agitating and cant seem to let go but aren't you the ass that posted the comment on our board as follows "I don't care what has ever happened prior to my lifetime and don't care about history" You continually run down our program when someone references our historical accomplishments under Mollenkolph or Tiller but you must know Parsegian is dead also.

You are a gutless coward and would suggest you go back to your "successful banking VP position" you insufferable jerk

Don’t know where you got this from. Many predictions do not have them worse than Purdue. NW isn’t supposed to be down this year at all. They return the great majority of their starters and have been tabbed by many pundits to be the biggest competition to Wisky in the BIG West.

A teller is not a VP

Whatever makes you feel better, man.

That is exactly my point. The few "high points" in our history have just as much impact on today's program as the "low points" (of which there are PLENTY)... None.

Your program was largely a steaming pile of dog shit for the better part of 80 years. Nobody cares about you.

Come on, man. We're better than this. I happen to have a lot of respect for NW, and all it stands for.
I don't have much respect for NW jack@$$es who continue to haunt our board days after their team won a hard fought game against us, crowing about how great they are personally and bragging about how they've won 5 straight games against Purdue (3 of which were under Hazell), when Purdue owns NW 50-32-1 all-time.

It does make me feel better. I was actually considering rooting for NW to upend Wisky this year in the BIG West, because I think NW might have a shot at it. Not anymore. If you are an actual alum of NW, you are a disgrace to your school. You are an insufferable a-hole who acts like a 10 year old behind the keyboard.

You guys are fun.

Let's do the same thing 11/9/2019.

Wanna lay odds as to whether Brohm coaches that game?

You really are scared of what he’s doing, aren’t you? Based on what he’s said recently, Brohm isn’t going anywhere else anytime soon. He likes Purdue, the facilities, the AD, the BoT, President Daniels... He has younger kids and doesn’t want to disrupt their schooling, etc. He’s happy where he is and has Purdue poised to become a powerful team in the BIG West. BTW, he likes being in the BIG West and he likes being in the BIG overall. Prestigious.
