Purdue v. Minnesota Game Thread

It seems Edward's has found his groove finally. Now we just need Hammons to do his thing and then make a few 3's and we should be just fine. We always make it close games against crappy teams.

VE......way to step up.....4-7 from deep....rest of the team 1-9.....only knock is a few TO's.....but great effort to lead the victory.

Umm... i know you may be young but you may want to think before you post sometimes. J.Hill's FTs and handles were a big reason we WON this.
You also have not been following the team long enough to know true heartbreak ; ) pace yourself grasshopper, heh.
He was doing stupid turnovers at the time. Also I've been through the game at the Barn where Robbie Hummel tore his knee, I was so sick after that game. I don't remember the Kansas game, maybe I've just blanked from my memory.

I like how Purdue played in the final minute. Also, AJ grabbed a couple huge boards down the stretch.

One frustrating thing, though, is that it seems when our opponents really want to step on the gas they can usually get to the rim with relative ease. Whe we try to do that we seem to miss a lot of forced shots.

I'm glad Purdue won - on the road and while missing a key starter. But the turnover situation is becoming a bad groundhog day. AJ, Isaac, Mathias, and Vince all helped keep Minny in it at various points.

The announcers talk about mature team, and then we turn over 5 times and they get 3's.

I'd like to see AJ get the ball within 10' of the basket and facing the basket. His back to the basket moves are not strong.

lol what? What do you suppose he would do while facing up? Let a jumper fly.

You must have not watched many games this season. AJ's back to the basket game is his strength. He can step out and shoot it facing up, but his bread and butter is having his back to the basket.
