Saw where two maybe 3 starters are moving on, I guess they filled in when the regular starters got hurt, any chance Purdue is trying to get them? Guessing they’ll want a bigger program but if they were to go to Purdue the line all of a sudden is very good.

I would say that it has nothing to do with a bigger program. You were playing for Notre Dame. I would say that they want a bigger paycheck. It has not been our style to chase these types of players with an open checkbook, but you never know I guess.
I'd take Spindler, one went to Tenn last week

Chan went to UConn. Down to spindler who went to clarkston HS, which we historically have recruited well, and Coogan who is from Chicago and we offered out of HS. I think we are set at left side of line but maybe one could step in at RG. If they are capable of RT we could upgrade there. Maybe Tanona will help recruit them.

always nice to have depth, the one thing I noticed about top teams is their depth, if one 6'5 320 OL gets hurt the next 6'5 320 guy w/ tree trunk legs comes in to do well

These guys aren’t looking for places to ride the bench. Probably why they may want out of south bend. Tanona also isn’t going to recruit over himself by getting two guys that play the same LG position as him to come here.

Spindler is down to Michigan, Nebraska, and Indiana.

Coogan is considering Michigan, Indiana, and Ole Miss.

They both basically play the same position, LG. Indiana has a hole there with their current LG retiring so it’s a clear opportunity. Seems like these guys use Michigan for leverage. But not surprised indiana is pushing hard for a transfer at LG.

didn't mean that these guys would be for the pine but for an upgrade to our OL
