I keep hearing you're concerned about my sanity
That IU basketball makes me deny reality.
But we haven't won the tourney in over thirty years,
So if I'm living in the past, it's just to hide my tears.

Last night I dressed in candy stripes and went out on the town.
As long as we play Cupcake U. it's hard to keep us down.
But Big Ten season's coming, and I know that won't be fun.
So when things get bad just look for me in 1981.
