Purdue Should play zone the whole time 😂Dollars to donuts Purdue loses, because Paint treats it like and exhibition, and people cry that we lost an October game
It would be funny if he threw the starters out there for a full 40 minutes and just put a bruising on UK to make a point. We all know he won't, but man that would be hilarious.Dollars to donuts Purdue loses, because Paint treats it like and exhibition, and people cry that we lost an October game
I'll let you figure that one out on your own.Good to see we aren’t scared of playing in Lexington like some other Indiana schools
I'll let you figure that one out on your own.
But should be a good one. Two to 5 teams in an exhibition. Too bad it isn't a legit game but I doubt either coach treats it like it's meaningless. Can't wait for basketball season to arrive.
Weird, all this time I thought it was called Corrupt Arena. Learned something new...Been wanting to see a game at Rupp for quite some time…this is the perfect opportunity!
Many will recall that Keady tried to schedule games against perennial top 10 teams, including Kentucky, but none wanted to play in Mackey in a home-and-away series. Digger Phelps at ND even admitted it.Purdue and Kentucky haven't played since 97?
Haha - yeah they are pumped for this. Here’s another:Kentucky fans know basketball.![]()
I have no problems with an away exhibition game that doesn’t get reciprocated. Definitely not a regular season game though.LOVE it…
Izzo is a whiny slimeball, but he is spot-on correct when it comes to scheduling: play anybody anywhere.
We know the planet is intimidated by playing in Mackey — who cares if Purdue gets a return game??
Challenge yourselves!!!

Okay I'll break it down once.Figure what out on my own?
Why’d you need 10 guys in the portal?
Okay I'll break it down once.
Indiana travels to Lexington in December.
Indiana coach Darian DeVries cleaned house. Both roster and staff, even including long standing Dr. Tim Garl. So Indiana has brought in 10 portal transfers and 1 freshman(so far). Hope it helps you.

Well they should be good for 120 per game once they power up in those stripe pantsOkay I'll break it down once.

Which starters? We have like 10 of them. I'm ready. If you want to be the best, you have to beat the best. Kentucky is always good and a road game makes it even better. It would be funny if he threw the starters out there for a full 40 minutes and just put a bruising on UK to make a point. I can’t imagine a less meaningful stat than points per game for a bunch of transfers who played completely different roles at their last team, but yeah, that’s cool.Okay I'll break it down once.

With all respect, we won’t even know what the questions are that Painter is trying to answer in this game.Which starters? We have like 10 of them. I'm ready. If you want to be the best, you have to beat the best. Kentucky is always good and a road game makes it even better.
We should get some answers for sure after this game is over.
But not to the extent, I hope, of naming an arena after a corrupt racist. Most of college sports are corrupt 😂
That's your opinion.I can’t imagine a less meaningful stat than points per game for a bunch of transfers who played completely different roles at their last team, but yeah, that’s cool.
It helps them win the offseason again is all but is about as irrelevant as it gets.I can’t imagine a less meaningful stat than points per game for a bunch of transfers who played completely different roles at their last team, but yeah, that’s cool.
It’d be great for Purdue fans but the team (especially the younger guys) get way more out of the experience if it’s on the road in a hostile/crazy environment vs (an expected) top team.Hat's off to Painter for scheduling high-major exhibitions on the road. No doubt it's great team preparation.
At the same time, it would be great for the fans to hold one of these in Mackey.
Actually, Purdue seems to be the off season champs this year. Indiana is flying well of the radar(which I like). And Purdue deserves it.It helps them win the offseason again is all but is about as irrelevant as it gets.
Purdue haters will balk, but the consistent thread in these scrimmages is that MP doesn't care if Purdue wins and may actually prefer they lose. Per your point, great experience either way. It’d be great for Purdue fans but the team (especially the younger guys) get way more out of the experience if it’s on the road in a hostile/crazy environment vs (an expected) top team.
So far, when we have lost these exhibitions, we have gone further in the tourney than the team that beats us (not sure there’s any correlation though 😂).
UK should be real good this year and Rupp will be rockin. They’ll get to see what could have been, had Smith gone there 😂
….gonna be a long summer In anticipation!!!
The difference in Purdue's off-season championship versus most is that their primary 'wins' came in the form of retaining current players.Actually, Purdue seems to be the off season champs this year. Indiana is flying well of the radar(which I like). And Purdue deserves it.
Retaining Smith was massive. Which I didn't personally believe he was ever close to leaving. Getting Cluff was huge too. Cox and Harris were probably the most likely to get plucked and Purdue was able to keep them. There is a reason Purdue will be #1 to start the season. The difference in Purdue's off-season championship versus most is that their primary 'wins' came in the form of retaining current players.
Sort of like IU bringing back TJD except with another AA candidate and a bunch of other good players around him. We'll see how it goes for Purdue, but that was a decent season for IU with limited support outside of JHS.
