Purdue @ Northwester Gameday Predictions & Thread:

Well if we had the 10 points we left on the field in the first half we’d have a game right now. Still time but the D has to stop them.
Shit, now we agree again.

My whole issue has been us not taking what’s been there all season. Gain 6” and it’s likely 7 points. Don’t miss the FG and we are only down 3 here.

That’s my point. We are competing. If we are good enough to compete...we gotta finish at some point.

We were clearly better than Rutgers but couldn’t finish. You can’t put that ALL on the kids.

I was wondering the same thing..:.

I think I remember reading it was his labrum. If I have it correct, it sounded like it had been bugging him for a bit and was a usage injury and not a get injured on 1 play deal. Finally decided to get it cleaned up while RS'ing.

But like you said 6"

Kids have to execute. Just like that. Worship totally whiffed on that block. You mean to tell me you believe Brohm coached that whiff?

Ohhhhhhhh Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuudge!

It was 2nd and 1 and they couldn't gain a yard on three consecutive plays. I don't think I have seen that before at any level of football. Gross.

Well, there ya go, I don't watch the Colts. Colts ran 3 run plays in a row and couldn't gain a yard, that is almost impossible.

So, when did the refs check out? There hasn't been a penalty in the 2nd half??? I see holding everywhere, did the refs go into the heat tent?

Well coached teams can get a yard on at least 1 of 3 plays.
I guess it’s positive we didn’t lose any yards?

The first one that came to mind was San Francisco's goal line stand in Super Bowl XVI against Cincinnati.....I think the 49'ers stopped the Bengals on 4 straight plays from inside the three....something like that. Some terrific defensive plays, however, rather than poor execution.

To your point, it's hard to do.....but when you can't get a good push off the ball....it's going to happen.

can we stop throwing to Philips on 2 point conversions??? this isn't the first time he's missed.

Should have kicked the FG there....the missed FG and not getting the FG near the end zone as well killed Purdue. Should have been 6 more points and going for the W.

Bad decisions in the first half put the team behind in the second half.

Broadcaster kept saying that. I disagreed with him too. Gotta get the TD first.
