#11, 7, 8, 5, 4, 9, 6 and #2 have all lost this week. I wonder how many spots Purdue is going to jump this week with all of those teams losing. I'm guessing right around #10 or 11.
That’s definitely the goal now - get on the 3 line#12...and the last 3-seed in Bracketology. we would want to get off the 4 or 5 line...
Prob rank 13 in one poll; 15 in another. Rise above Oregon and UConn. No way for 10 or 11. The ranked numbers you listed mostly lost to top 10 teams. We have only played one top 20 team since Auburn. We have conf wins over 4 of 6 bottom conf teams. We are not a top 10 team.#11, 7, 8, 5, 4, 9, 6 and #2 have all lost this week. Some of them lost to unranked teams when I was checking. I would have to look again to see forsure. It's to cold and to early for that though. It's lazy Sunday.Prob rank 13 in one poll; 15 in another. Rise above Oregon and UConn. No way for 10 or 11. The ranked numbers you listed mostly lost to top 10 teams. I did not review many either. Thought more of the top SEC teams played each other. My bad. Some of them lost to unranked teams when I was checking. I would have to look again to see forsure. It's to cold and to early for that though. It's lazy Sunday.
I went a looked. #2, 5, 6 and #7 were to unranked teams. A couple other were to teams ranked in the 20's.

13Iowa st will probably drop the most as they are not a blue blood with a lot of media support . Teams like Kentucky and Tennessee never drop much when they lose. I suspect Purdue will flip with Oregon and no higher.
You realize Iowa St also beat Kansas handily this week right?Iowa st will probably drop the most as they are not a blue blood with a lot of media support . Teams like Kentucky and Tennessee never drop much when they lose. I suspect Purdue will flip with Oregon and no higher.
I agree. Not many teams move more than 4 (5 at the most spots) ... and only three have lost twice.14, maybe 13. Since so many teams lost, I expect most to shuffle down 2-3 spots. I don't think there will be that many big jumps. With our 4 losses, I only think we pass UCONN, Oregon, and Gonzaga for sure.
We move up .... Oregon and UCONN drop, Houston moves up. Everyone else just bumbles in their same spots.I agree. Not many teams move more than 4 (5 at the most spots) ... and only three have lost twice.
Iowa St is a fun team to watchYou realize Iowa St also beat Kansas handily this week right?
Under that logic we could also be 6 or 7.42
Because we are the answer for everything
Much rather be the hunter than the hunted.Purdue will have its doubters all season because of the struggles against some of the athletic, high pressure teams that they faced early on, as well as the lack of rim protection, but I believe that they are now playing much better collectively than they were playing before the New Year. All Purdue can do now is keep beating the teams on the schedule and keep improving. I actually think that this new version of Purdue would fair much better now in a rematch against the four teams that beat them. I’m not saying that they would beat Auburn, but they would be much more competitive and I would really like their chances against the other 3.
Gonzaga drops also after losing. We move to 14.We move up .... Oregon and UCONN drop, Houston moves up. Everyone else just bumbles in their same spots.
Gonzaga actually lost twice, including at home to Santa Clara, who doesn't have Steve Nash anymore. They probably don't have any number next to their name tomorrow.Gonzaga drops also after losing. We move to 14.
Yeah. I just feel like the pollsters and voters are not real Iowa st fans. I read some Iowa articles proclaiming Iowa st was the best in the land and they still didn’t become the 1 ranked team. Teams like Duke always get the media attention and the rankings. You realize Iowa St also beat Kansas handily this week right?
I did read your comment and I didn't claim you said the bolded part above, did I? Please read my comment, all I said was that they wouldn't fall terribly far because they blew out Kansas. And clearly you were wrong, as Iowa State only dropped from 2 to 3. And Purdue is 11. But I'm sure that won't matter and you'll continue to brag about the few times you are right. There's some saying about blind squirrels...If you read my comment, I said Iowa st would probably have the biggest drop. I didn’t say they’d fall out of the top 10. I also said Purdue and Oregon would probably flip flop places. I don’t see Purdue climbing higher than 13th this week. A win over Michigan would help solidify Purdue’s ranking.
In other news, water is wet!Yeah. I just feel like the pollsters and voters are not real Iowa st fans. I read some Iowa articles proclaiming Iowa st was the best in the land and they still didn’t become the 1 ranked team. Teams like Duke always get the media attention and the rankings.

As for the dance, I could see Purdue as a 3-5 seed. Sometimes seeds are lowered, but the team receives a better draw and location in the bracket. A 6th seed is actually preferred over the 4th/5th seed. In that way, you avoid that 1 vs 4 matchup.
I still believe Purdue is a sweet 16 caliber team. And matchups will determine future success.
