I am pretty sure the assistant coaches sucked. Defense was down right awful and offense couldn't handle pressure. However, make up of the team was biggest problem. Not a single guard that can create a shot or consistently make a 3. Just foul big guys and make guards beat you. Too easy.

Jaden Ivey can get his own Shot and Sasha is one of the better 3 point shooters in the nation hell Purdue is top 5 in the nation before tonight in terms of percentage.

So right!!! Matt never adjusts. Purdue has always been very predictable on both ends of the floor. Look at the stats over the past 17 yrs. Teams almost always play a better 2nd half game against Purdue. If the players are having numerous turnovers each and every game, that is bad coaching. Either the coach is not holding players accountable or he is not putting them in good situations to minimize their weakness and maximize their strengths.

Hate to say it, but it’s time for Painter to go.

He’s a good coach, representative of the university, and leader of young men, but it’s time to move on.

Can’t continue to let the fear-based mindset of “we’ll be just like IU if we fire Painter” serve as a primary reason for keeping Painter around.

Look, it’s been 18 years. The proof is what it is. This program will remain good, not great as long as Painter is in charge.

Firing Painter may very well result in a temporary step back, but if this program ever wants to carve a new identity and get over the hump, it has to be done. Painter simply hasn’t proven that he can make the proper in-game adjustments on a consistent basis, on the biggest stage.

Change is difficult, but the only constant in life.
