Purdue has said that Ross Ade will be at full capacity this season. However, what happens...

I’m in that category so I’m just asking.. are we immune? Even from the variant? Can I find a source on that? And I’m in your camp, I’m just wondering..

I work in public so I had it in November. My back was achy until like 8:30 the first night… then I was fine
Did you get tested to show you had it or you think you had it?

Do they have compromised immune systems due to underlying conditions?
Neither had any issues they knew of beforehand. The guy with the kidney issues was in better shape than I am and I’m 3 decades younger.

And of course there’s no way of proving that the vaccine has caused their issues, but those are pretty big coincidences.

I tested positive for it. I don’t have any comorbidities and I have excellent health numbers .. It was one day of aches and that’s it
I believe it. I had it in late Feb 20 and it was basically gone in 3 1/2 days. I got the Pfizer shots a few months later.

I’m not much older than you. Certainly not a Baby Boomer.
I got you. On another topic I had someone show me a terrible pic of a pizza from Pepe’s today. It was burned and dry. Like burned not spots. Do they have consistency issues or issues If you don’t go to their main location

I would not recommend their satellite locations. The people in the original location are trained by the people trained by the Italian old timers. In the satellite locations, they seem to be a tad more freewheeling in their consistency. You can get good pies, but it’s not the same consistency as the “Little Italy” location in New Haven. I think they run into the same issue that many restaurants have right now - getting good workers.

I can't tell if you're joking or just immensely ignorant.

Based on actual data coming from border security. All of them.

But people have died from the vaccine so it isn't false information. Additionally you can google where the hotspots are and at the moment, they are all along the border and trending north.

Try not being so gullible.

Edit: Here I will even help you out with this article.

And just in case you choose not to read it, here is the first bit that supports my comments:

Rio Grande Valley Sector Chief Patrol Agent Brian Hastings reported that his sector at the Texas-Mexico border alone took into custody more than 15,000 illegal immigrants in one week, the most so far this year.
In the same sector, agents saw a 900% increase in those being detained who tested positive for the coronavirus.

Close the border. The 'surge' stops. It's that simple

I never said keep border open, but Florida isnt a border state and the virus is responsible for 20% of the hosipilization there. So losing the border isnt the answer, its a false narative spouted but idiots like Tucker Carlton.

Serious question, how many deaths do you think the vaccine is responsible for in the US? How many people has Covid killed in July alone?

Have you talked to actual doctors that work in hospitols about your theories? Do you think they are pushing a narative so its better to just trust some yahoo with no education speaking on facebook? Or some moron like Tucker Carlton?

Do you live close to the southern border? Is this why you are so worried? Why do you so easily fall for a distraction pushed by polititians who have no medical background.

Honestly why do you believe people with no medical baackground but distrust those that have spent there entire life studying infectious disease? Its insane to me so many turst the uneducated and distrust those with 30 years of experience.

When you need your car fixed do you take it to a florist or a mechinic with expreince? It just makes no sense why so many people are so defiant and so easily distracted but crap that has nothing to do. Lied to by their polititians and eat it up like its gospel, but then wont believe 99.99999% of the medical community who tells them to get vaccinated. Its so insane, its bizaro world to be honest.

I was going to pick your argument apart bit by bit because it would be rather easy to do, but it is filled with such continued nonsense and hypocrisy that I honestly do not know where to begin. You clearly are living life with your head in the sand.

That…and spelling issues galore

And there is the issue, way to linear way of thinking. Death or no death are the only issues with Covid. Never mind 20 times people with PERMANENT heart and lung damage. Never mind the real purpose of vaccinating is not to prevent in the person spread but stop the spreading of the virus.

Your kid could never have any signs of covid but spread it to 20+ people. This country was founded on very selfish principles, there is no greater good here, thus I am not shocked almost 50% of the country is being very selfish, only looking at themselves, refusing to recognize the real purpose about vaccinating is much bigger than them or their kid.

Long term effects longhaulers is just now beginning to come to the surface. The fact we are 55% vaccinated and our numbers are so down is irrefutable. The fact India, Brazil and other countries are less than 3% vaccinated and Covid is killing hundreds and thousands and effecting millions, many who will live but have horrible long term effects.

The great thing in this country we are allowed to be selfish, but doesnt make it moral, just legal.
I’m guessing somewhere in the estimated 45% not vaccinated lie all those that got the virus, never got the shots and still have antibodies. There are valid reasons why youngsters and childbearing women may not want the shots. There appears to be effective treatment if caught early outside the shot…and some believe that if properly used, be effective in a preventative manner. Some have had horrible reactions I understand…such as a anesthesiologist I know that apparently suffered some form of paralysis and has been out of work for the last few months.

I got the shots, but had I been much younger I’m not sure I would have made the same decision. Long term concerns I don’t have anyway, and figured traveling to another country might require the shots. If we believe in science there is reason to understand why some don’t want the shot and others do outside the politics being played. If there is a concern of spreading the virus…how do we reconcile the border situation with the push for Americans to get the shots? Sooooo many mixed messages, it is easy to have different opinions.

FWIW, I do believe that since I had the shots I find myself clearing my throat quite often where I never before had to do that. I also think I very well could have been exposed and possibly contracted the virus in a very early stage when I got my first shot not aware that Kim tested positive a couple of days later. Perhaps the first shot eliminated the severity of the virus?

Hopefully, if there is real concern for what the USA has just went through the last year we will see a move away from the Chinese Communist Party influence into the lives in this country and the border crossing nightmare as well. If not, how sincere are the leaders of this country in preventing what we all have experienced…and why isn’t there sincerity to do so?

Harder to find because “you’re gonna be fine” doesn’t sell quite as well as the rampant fear porn but as far as we know, yes.

-“The papers are consistent with the growing body of literature that suggests that immunity elicited by infection and vaccination for SARS-CoV-2 appears to be long-lived,” said Scott Hensley, an immunologist at the University of Pennsylvania who was not involved in the research.

Thank you for these sources. Anything on the variant? I really don’t have a side, I actually want good info to make an informed decision

Lighten up with all the questions. We know the variant is out there. Don’t sh_t your pants. We’ll get thru this.
Close nothing and move forward. With all the lessons learned, this will not bring us to our knees like the first time around.

The moment everything starts closing up and mask mandates, then shut the border and begin impeachment of Biden for not protecting Americans. 1/2 America hates each other, find common ground to NOT close everything up and act scared.

Not a Daily Caller fan personally but the underlying sources and references check out to me.

-“It appears that natural immunity is better against the Delta variant. When you get infected with COVID, your body’s immune system develops antibodies to the entire surface of the virus,” Makary said. “Not just the slight protein that the vaccines gives you, but the entire surface. And so you get a more diverse antibody portfolio in your system.”

I keep seeing some people admonishing others, "don't play politics with this" (or some variation).

Trouble is, it's all the d@mn politicians (and some people making those comments) who are making it political.

If you're keeping up with what's going on in Australia, it's absurdly political.

And, if you're watching what the CDC, WHO, et al, are doing and saying, there's a political element to all too much of this.

I couldn't help but chuckle (then shake my head) when I saw this the other day...

Yeah, the entire don't make it political is a joke because it's impossible now. Even the scientific studies have become political and hard to trust because any study that doesn't agree with the current political climate is burred and discredited and only the ones that agree with agenda really seem to see the light of day. I know at one point had read way to many on masks and most of the ones that showed these cheap ones helping where using unrealistic air flows, moistures, usage time and so on. Basically, if you think about how things realistically work, it wasn't to hard to see the experiment was designed to make them work. Later some sprung up showing the aerosolizing effect of prolonged mask use and how they actually make it worse, but those seem to have been buried again. It's sad, but now with "science" you have to question who is funding and pushing the study now, it's not about discovery and understanding, it's about agenda pushing.

My advice is find a doctor you trust, hopefully most people have one. It goes way beyond Covid and politics. It is their job to stay on top of the science and interpret it for your personal situation for your health and well being. If you don't have that it is time to find a new doctor.

I've dealt with more than enough doctors and specialist now that I've learned they are just another data point to use in making your own decision. Their opinions and advice are as diverse as everyone else's. I've got plenty of Doctors I trust and listen to, but that doesn't mean I agree with them on everything.

Fair enough. And I'm not saying don't seek multiple professional opinions. I just don't think most people have enough hours in their day to do their job, raise kids, follow Purdue sports, etc. AND read all the latest medical journals and studies like my doctor does. Reading what people post on facebook in my free time doesn't level my medical opinion to his. At the end of the day, with all the various information flying around it is good to have a voice you can trust. And to be perfectly clear, I am talking about personal decisions, not policy.

On a related note, there are studies that show people are overestimating their knowledge more than ever before. For those who have dabbled in psychology, this is known as the Dunning-Kruger Effect. I attribute this increase to social media and the amount of information we are trying to wrap our caveman brains around on a daily basis.

Australia has gone hard core Socialism in mandates and spying on their own people in treating COVID.
The above image will be tested hard in the next few weeks to months.

While concerts, football, and entertainment industry is just getting underway, I hope that we use common sense in handling this delta variant. The reality is that Politics & MSM will work overtime hammering down on us. Just saw headlines today that Google Founder Larry Page "shit his pants" and went to New Zealand and became a resident to hide in his hole. The article indicates that the Billionaires club are pretty much all doing it on one island or another. Their playbook and narrative will be all about locking down and staying put which will be pushed to MSM.
At some point, we have to say NO and move on with our lives and move forward.

I second needing "voices" I can trust, but unsure where to find that in almost everything today. It is the climate of the times it seems or has always been the climate just that now it is on steroids... ;)
