Purdue has said that Ross Ade will be at full capacity this season. However, what happens...

Why are we sending money to China and other countries that hate America?
politicians go to Washington and earn $174,000 (US Senator), in an area with a very high cost of living, and it doesn't take long before they have multi-million dollar homes, hefty bank accounts, luxury cars, etc.

Oh... and we haven't even gotten to their kids, who sit on the boards of foreign corporations, rake in millions each year having no expertise in said industry/business, and funnel a significant percent to the person of influence who got them their gig.

You're being sold out, while being told said politicians are protecting you from eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeevil "corporations".

When you quote corporations are you saying they aren’t really corporations? Lol

Purdue has said that Ross Ade will be at full capacity this season, which I really hope to see. I am not a big baseball watcher, but I did turn on a MLB game this last week, and it was so great to see the crowd and the atmosphere that a full stadium can add to a game.

However, the Delta variant is really starting to expand internationally, and it is suppose to be in the US at a small scale right now. Football season is still a little over 2 months before the start of the season. This variant is suppose to be more contagious and makes people sicker than the original COVID 19, especially for people that have not gotten vaccinated yet. I don't know about other states, but I think KY is probably at a 45% vaccination rate currently. I have received both of my vaccinations. I wish people would just get vaccinated, and we can put this pandemic behind us. Everyone seems to be acting like we have won already against this virus.

What does the Big Ten do, because I am sure that they will dictate what Purdue, Ohio State, Michigan, etc. can do, if this variant gets worse. Will stadiums have to go to 75%, 50%, or 25% capacity? Will you have to show your vaccination card to get in to stadiums, which some recent concerts have done? Are you fine taking the chance of going to a game, if this situation happens to really starts to affect everything again?

Unfortunately, as much as I hate to say it, this virus may play a part in another season, if this situation does not start to improve or get under control.

I am curious of everyone's opinion.
Mine is this: If you have your vaccination, why are you concerned if I have mine?

Other than that, I am sure hype and fear will again play a role in our daily lives, including NCAA sports.

At the present time, Bobinski is saying that there is no plan to require masks at Ross Ade this year. I am not too sure about that with this Delta surge still happening. It does looks like they have changed the policy for indoor activities yesterday, and they are requiring masks.

I know outdoors is different, but with a full stadium; is it really that much different than indoors being so packed in? Hopefully, the increase in vaccinations will make this a reality of no masks required for the full upcoming football season.

Good question. And, yes, it IS different.

In an open letter earlier this year, Mitch said that was unequivocal on that topic:

"...we now know that the virus is almost impossible to spread in the open air, and a few thousand students would be safer spread out – I first wrote “spaced out”, but you might have misconstrued that - in a 56,000-seat Ross-Ade Stadium than in residence hall rooms and taverns watching on television."

Not sure if someone "got to him" to change his tune, but I have no doubt that there's someone somewhere waiting to scream, "but the science has evolved"... or, "we've learned more"... or something along those lines.

I’ll be at all the games and could care less about Covid.

"ifs and buts"

Go with life as it is now.

No doubt, the panic porn players will work overtime to try to convince people we need more lockdowns and restrictions.

Live your life.
and no doubt, the people that dont' give a rats ass about OTHER people will work overtime to convince people this is about INDIVIDUAL FREEDOM!

And some of you die.

convince people this is about INDIVIDUAL FREEDOM!
Because that is exactly what it is about. It's a thing that has a stupid high survival rate to begin with and all the mandates and other BS at this point is about control. Period.

You want to stop the spread? Close the southern border. Until that happens those wanting more mandates and other crap haver zero room to tell others to conform to their rules.

Wish you did not have your profile on private so I could DM you

Hey I knew we’d eventually agree on something 85 lol

Nah, not really. Not unless you're attempting to demean and mock them, in a really bad effort to convince them to get the jab.

Most of the people I've seen, heard, and read, have significant medical concerns. You might want to make an effort to listen to them, if you really give a fat rat's @ss about their point of view.

I am merely a fan of science, Not a Fauci fan, he has made his mistakes, but reality is reality and so many live in a false reality with no standing.

Sad.
If you’re a science fan then make sure you keep your zinc levels up, and take ivermectin if you feel the need. We don’t need a vaccine for something that was handled with already available options. But somewhere, someone thought the vaccine was a good social experiment and a good society divider so here we are.

I’m just curious .. In the land of the free are we allowed to say what we really think publicly? Because I feel like we aren’t.

No I’m serious.. people I know really well have not reacted well to the vaccine and I feel like if you say that you’re like some nut just for saying what you’re actually seeing
Getting the jab is a personal choice that shouldn't be mandated. If people want to get it, great. Their choice. Just like it's the choice of others to not get it.

If there was really a legit effort to stop the spread of COVID other than for control or political reasons, the southern border would of been shut down ages ago. That is where it is all coming in from.

I know 2 guys in their early 70s who got really sick right after getting the vaccine. One ended up dying and the other is now having ongoing kidney problems.

So.. to me, if it’s right for someone, they absolutely should. Not making any grand declarations about it. If it’s not, the person shouldn’t be demonized.

at the rate we are going, won’t we be at like 90% by the fall?

Did they have pre-existing conditions/co-morbidities prior to getting Covid? Cancer, HBP, lung disease, diabetes, etc.?

Drinking and driving is a personal choice. Your personal choices affect society. The political crap is bringing up the Southern border. Its a distraction from a false reality.

One has not much to do with the other. How many illegal immigrants do you think you run into with Covid? I dont disagree that our borders shouldnt be closed, but saying that has anything to do with vaccinating is creating a distraction from the fact 99.5% of the people in the hospital with Covid and dying of Covid are not vaccinated. No one has died from the vaccine, it is false information.

For example News Max had to make a retraction about Trump really winning the election. It was aired and everything, but they did it at a non popular time so they can continue their false narative.

But before you think i am liberal, I am not. The CDC has condemed and rightfully so the NYT for their scare tactics on Covid break throughs. They happen, but only about a couple 100 have died frim Covid who have been vaccinated.

And why do the anti vaxxers think that watching a 30 minute video on Facebook makes them more of an expert who studied medicine their whole life? Do you have any family or friends that are doctors at a hospital? Do you really think this is all fake? People are dying, just because they are dying in hospitals away from your view and not in the street where you can see them doesnt make them less dead.

And just because less than 1% will die from covid doesnt make less serious. Covid is about 25 times more deadly than the flew, but its not cancer, just very serious. Sad thing is if you get vaccinated its 20 times safer than the flu, but still possible you can die....just highly unlikely.

People just arent smart enough I guess to understand the math or the science, or just to hard headed to think others actually care about lives because they are such a-holes that dont care about anyone's life but themselves.

Its sad, and we have drawn our lines in the sands, dont bother responding, I get you dont give a crap about anyone but yourself thinking that public safety is a choice.

Within the month Pfizer will be fully approved and will be mandatory for many things. Yes this is legal, and yes you have a choice, but your choice will come with consequences just like drinking and driving is a choice. Just a bad choice.

If you’re vaccinated you have an equal chance to die from a bee sting as you do from Wuhan virus.

I can't tell if you're joking or just immensely ignorant.

How many illegal immigrants do you think you run into with Covid?
Based on actual data coming from border security. All of them.

No one has died from the vaccine, it is false information.
But people have died from the vaccine so it isn't false information. Additionally you can google where the hotspots are and at the moment, they are all along the border and trending north.

Try not being so gullible.

Edit: Here I will even help you out with this article.

And just in case you choose not to read it, here is the first bit that supports my comments:

Rio Grande Valley Sector Chief Patrol Agent Brian Hastings reported that his sector at the Texas-Mexico border alone took into custody more than 15,000 illegal immigrants in one week, the most so far this year.
In the same sector, agents saw a 900% increase in those being detained who tested positive for the coronavirus.

Close the border. The 'surge' stops. It's that simple

what about those of us who have natural immunity from already having covid, and therefore don't need the vaccine? Does your self-righteousness extend to caring about our wellbeing?Should we be barred from restuarants and gyms unless we take something that we don't need? Where do your liberties end and mine begin?

I’m in that category so I’m just asking.. are we immune? Even from the variant? Can I find a source on that? And I’m in your camp, I’m just wondering..

I work in public so I had it in November. My back was achy until like 8:30 the first night… then I was fine
