Purdue has a chance at the Big Ten title

Wisconsin losing today totally opens things up again in the Big Ten. I know that Purdue needs to stay focused and keep winning but I think they have a chance. Wisconsin plays at michigan and then plays Maryland at home. Wouldn't be surprised if they lose one. Boiler up my friends.

Which won't be easy at all. At Michigan and at NW really worry me, and we have shown a tendency to play down in games we should easily win. No gimmies

I love our team and I think we win all 3 home games but winning all 3 road games - Penn State, Michigan and Northweatern - would be pretty incredible after just winning at Michigan State, Maryland and IU. I think we drop one of those so we need Wisconsin to drop 2 more and both end up with 4 losses

Purdue needs to take care of business the next 3 games. I think they'll be tied if that happens. Also very critical for seeding to impress and not have a let dow.

NW is no joke this year and we won't make it through the rest of the season without a loss or two most likely.

Regular season title doesn't matter anyway. With the unbalanced schedule it has turned in to a participation trophy. Win the BTT then go deep in the NCAA, that is what I want to see.

I disagree, we are tied for the most conference titles with IU (22) with them winning 2 of the last 4. We need this to pull ahead, and yes we do market most conference titles...

Of course the regular season title has been diminished with unbalanced schedules. But I still want us to win it and really don't see why others wouldn't want us to also. With our schedule this year, it would mean even more to win it.

Beat me to it. Certainly not what it was but a conference title is still a good measure of a quality team

Like Keady said - its not who you play, its sometimes when you play them. We have some teams ending out our schedule that are playing very well. I have noticed Michigan drumming some teams for example. And there is that slippage thing....will it rear its ugly head again?

Thus, Purdue winning out will be a tall order. But then, that is what a champion does....

Winning the Big Ten regular season would be a great thing for Purdue. It would show how they worked hard. As mentioned they would have to win out most likely so that would be a GREAT thing to have happen.
