Can't fault this team for what they couldn't do and instead give them a lot of credit for what they did do. For all of you who criticize Versyp for not being able to get the big time recruits to compete with the top dogs, this game clearly demonstrated that. We had no answer for Jones or the MD interior and their frosh pg is one of the best I have seen in a long time. Hard to see how OSU beat this team but then hard to see how we beat OSU. All that said, have to be proud of this team and a word for those who called for Versyp's head: Shhhhhhh!
Now they say we will get in the NCAA, which is remarkable. We certainly don't have the talent, I think, to make a real run, but this team plays D (they held MD to nearly 30 less than the scored the night before) and will be not be playing four games in a row so you never know what they might do. They are a dangerous team and just might surprise someone. If they wind up in the NIt which is unlikely, they might make a serious run.
Anyway, after a lot of angst and some key injuries this team really turned it around should make fans proud.
