Purdue - Cradle of Coaches??

I see where Terrell Williams is expected to be named DC at the Patriots and Lou Anarumo DC at Indy. I thought Anarumo might have been a good choice for HC at Purdue but I think Purdue did quite well getting who they got.

Are there any other assistant coaches in the NFL that either played at or coached at Purdue?

The one I know off the top of my head is David Blough who is on staff with Washington as asst QB coach. Kingsbury has been complimentary of his coaching, and it was reportedly a Blough drawn play that Kliff called to get the winning TD against Philly in the regular season.

Believe Ryan Kerrigan is on Washington staff too.
Yep. Assistant LB coach and Pass Rush Specialist.

Here he is a couple years ago with Jeff Zgonina, when he was assistant DL coach:

I find it odd that with the exception of Blough, very few Purdue QBs ever pursued a career in coaching. There is a lot of talk here about making Brees the head coach. But it’s rather clear he wants no part of coaching.

When it comes to Purdue QBs, Purdue has become the cradle of broadcasters!

I skimmed a list on Wikipedia and in addition to the above, I found a couple of new ones. Nick Hardwick is an assistant offensive line coach for the Chargers. Jeff Zgonina is now listed as a coach for the Cowboys (which may be incorrect?). But there are probably a LOT of assistant coaches' names from Purdue that I wouldn't recognize.

Honestly, it's probably a better gig. You basically work 1-2 days a week, get paid well, and get to spend a lot of time with family.

It's been talked about on here, Blough I think is someone who we should maybe be keeping an eye on as a QB coach and/or offensive coordinator down the road. That is if he wants to coach in college.

Fwiw, I'm pretty happy with who Odom brought in though (qb coach from UCF).

As a resident of the DMV, I find that Blough's and Kerrigan's prominence on the Commanders staff has made that team MUCH more appealing --- a welcome departure of the $%it-show days of 'lil' Napoleon Danny Snyder...

Proof is in the results, as they say.
