Battle of former team mates as coaches. Good news, we won. Bad news, we seem to have about 4-6 Power 4 conference level players on the roster, and I don't think we have anyone that could start for a top 10 Big Ten team. Bass and Lombard are okay, but not great. McCarthy and Puryear are playing better than expected (at least by me). Still hoping Poole gets healthy and can be a player, because we desperately need her. Swanson is struggling with being the only legit outside scoring threat on the whole team. After that, it gets ugly. Smith and Jones are very quick, but they are not good or smart basketball players. Collier is a place holder simply because we don't have a fifth starter to put in her place. Reynolds is worse than most preferred walkons. (And I mean both of them) Petree is just an awful shot chucker that plays D like Gearlds used to, with a cape and a funny hat letting players blow right past her. A. Harper hasn't played, but I expect nothing much from her considering how out of place she looked against top competition last year. I had hopes for McKenna, but all this missed time almost makes me wish she would redshirt and hope for a better coach her last two seasons.

KG is not going anywhere next year. The AD has bigger fish to fry.

The current AD may not be the one making those decisions at the rate of failure Purdue sports under coaches he hired are experiencing.
