It was a disjointed first half, but Purdue holds a three-point lead at the break in College Park as it looks to tighten its grip on the conference race. Your first half notes:

• Braden Smith is having a much better game thus far. He leads Purdue with 10 points on 5 of 5 shooting and has been able to hit from a variety of spots.
• Purdue's defense held the Terrapins to 8 of 26 shooting from the floor, but Maryland has stayed close by getting to the line. They are 8 of 11 there.
• Purdue has yet to hit a three, going 0 of 5 from long range.
• Keep an eye on Zach Edey early in the half, as he picked up two late fouls.
• Jahmir Young leads Maryland with nine.

Yeah first half was ugly but we held the lead. As of 6:28 left in 2H, this game is over. Ugly x 10 !! Game is way too rough, but Purdue is just not solid.
I now have the TV on mute as I can’t stand listening to the announcers cheer for Maryland
