I think some criticism is valid this year. 6 man class, no transfers, interior defense, etc
It’s clearly easier to comment when we’re in the meat of the actual schedule and giving up 20 points runs to IU who isn’t even a tourney team, than it when we’re beating trash opponents. Outside of Michigan and Alabama at home, we haven’t looked like a 2-seed all year
11 point half so far against IU…………11 points. I wonder what are record low is overall and in this series.

Filling out half our roster with Jacobsen and a bunch of freshman 3 stars was an egregious mistake.

This is these depreseed no life losers go to thing... that critical posters "arent around when purdue wins" this is what 4 or 5 of them say verbatim non stop, among a few other things.
Imagine being so low self esteem and so depressed in life that you have to constantly put down anyone that doesnt show aburdly stupid levels of non stop adolation to purdue and painter no matter the situation.

Painter had Edey. And Edwards. They elevated Painter and the program. Smith ain’t Edwards and TKR ain’t Edey.
IU is the perfect team to play zone against. Yes, I know Painter will not do it.
The first 0:48 was the killer - immediately got Indiana back in the game with confidence. Credit to the Hoosiers, but the Boilers really have been generous too.

Smith more than anyone cost us this game. When he plays hero things really go awry. In his defense the rest of the team is just Charmin soft. Miss Gillis as much as Edey.
Cox and Furst have done less and less. I also think Furst is such a poor offensive player that he's a liability if he's not aggressive getting rebounds and outbacks.
We will lose at home to ucla before beating rutgerd and then losing at Illinois.
We will go 1-1 in big ten tourney, end a 7 or 8 seed and lose in 1st round. And we will deserve it.

Imagine how ****ing lifeless this team has to be to be up 12 at half vs a rival and in 8 minutes be down 13. How badly coached does a team have to be for that to happen?
This team was in the championship last year. IU is HORRIBLE. This isnt happening against a better or even solid team.
This is against a god awful team whose coach is already out the door.
Painter is a fraud. I gave in and said he got over the hump last year but it wasnt him. It was edey being the best player this program has ever seen single handedly carrying us.
Its now back to business as usual. Playing "painters way" and recruiting "painter players".

Its against the rules to play zone vs bad shooters just as it is a rule that you HAVE to go over screens 35 feet from the basket even when the ball handler doesnt shoot or cant make 3s.
I have learned that these unwritten rules exist because there is no way painter is actually ****ing stupid enough to do these things consistently otherwise.
