We have now fallen significantly behind in our chase for 4th in the conference, the highest we realistically could have finished. Today a team that usually does not foul, fouled its way to defeat. And missed about as many layups as possible. Because the BT is so weak or has so much parity if you want to call it that, Purdue could win or lose all of its last five games. The way it is playing it is likely they will lose some of them so, at this point, they are shooting for the NIT. Since early season the Dance was not very likely.

Average team, average coach, average recruiting, nothing to get excited about here. Attendance at games and participation on this board is like a ghost town compared to when CSV took over the program. 11 years? Pretty hard for supporters to continue to blame Curry.

Yes, what Curry did knocked us off the national stage, but Versyp has had a lot of time to move us back on it and has not even come close. The guy at OSU did it and they did it at Louisville so it can be done. I was thinking this current team could have 20 wins and it is hard to fire someone with that record, but that is looking unlikely now. I guess it all depends if the AD is committed to go after a very high level coach. The fan base is still one of the better ones in the BTT and would surge if they started really winning again. Totally not sure what is going to happen. If they really flop near the end of this season, then a change might be in the offing.
