1. (PJ) played a great floor game, great defense, and hit a couple of big baskets. He just doesn't make many errors.

2. (Haas) for playing the way he is capable of playing---very aggressive--. Once he had a 2-handed slam and the crowd and his team mates went absolutely wild. If he plays that way, we are going to be hard to beat.

3. (Painter) This board usually gives him a lot of crap, but tonight I hope they give him some props. He recognized that in this game he needed Haas and Cline in there instead of the 2 Edwards. Cline was playing well and needed Haas to be the force in the middle on offense and defense. Painter realized that we were clicking with those 2 in there. Without the presence of Haas in the middle on defense, Wisky was killing us inside.

outside of the turnovers purdue was pretty damn stout. like i said in the game thread. we run them out of the building in the first half without the tos.
I would like to give props to Cline, hit alot of big shots, stuck his nose in there for some rebounds, and is willing to do an occasional drive to the hoop. Nice game game today for the young man.

Cline and PJ have surprised me with how often they look to drive now, I love it. Mathias has always been methodically aggressive and would drive when defenders over-played the 3 point line. Our offense is really multi-dimensional this year.

They have to stay in attack mode. They'll have games like this and other games where they either shy away from openings or they just don't have the foot-speed against some of the quicker teams: that's when Carsen and Vince need to be in there and provide their abilities to be threats off-the-dribble.

I would give Vince credit for the job he did guarding Hayes. He made him very inefficient compared to his normal game. Vince worked damn hard doing it.

A moment that stood out to me was when PJ took a 3PA and was short, someone (probably Biggie) got the rebound, passed back out to PJ and he immediately took another shot. Drained it! That confidence! He knows he can do it, and one bad shot doesn't affect him. I've got to say he's become my favorite player somewhere between last year and this year. Dude knows exactly what he is and isn't capable of, and plays about as consistently as anyone!

They won't. There has been a lot of opportunity for the vocal few that bash Painter after a loss to come back and man up, but so far few if any have done that. But, people like cpr, nag, nashville have all had their credibility flushed. Three isn't anything they can say now that will repair it either other than show up after the next loss. But even then, whatever they say will hold no water.

Speaking of Crp he's almost always non existent after big wins seems odd. I'm guessing he's using is alternate handle over on peegs ;)
