Projected 4 seed

IMO you'd have to be pretty hard-headed to claim that if this team comes back intact and adds DJ, Benter, and West, it's not one of the top five teams in the country next season. I'm not saying that MP and staff shouldn't go to the portal to address issues, fill gaps, and add security, but this will objectively be one of the most accomplished rosters in the country.
I’m not for or against adding portal players. I believe we will have 1-2 openings left. I’d like to see another 6’8 small forward and a big defensive oriented center to back up Jacobsen and clog the lane!

I really don’t know who will be available. I do know with Woodson leaving all of his players including Sisley could enter the portal.

Does IU have any other players Purdue could use? You guys seem to know a lot about IU players. Is there anybody on that team you’d like to have?

I've been skipping over your posts since the one I had agreed with until I just happened to read this one. Of course it has an error in it. You start off by saying it's good to have the best player in the conference and that player being a point guard. That's true for Cassius and arguably for Braden (season not over yet) but Yogi was never best player in the conference.
You should have ignored him way back when.

I liked Valentine but he was a bust in the NBA. What did Yogi do in the NBA?

As for the seeding I prefer either the 3rd seed or lose another game and hope we drop to the 6th seed. I want to avoid the 4th/5th seed at all costs
Yogi had a short but good stint in the league. A lot of time overseas. Valentines NBA career seems to be reduced to one play as a Bull and it's kinda hilarious(the play itself).

I would prefer being 3rd or 6th. I feel if we are 4th, we’ll be used to fill out a bracket and could be sent out west or some other bracket with bad matchups. If we are seeded 6th, expectations will be lower and we can sneak up on some teams. And the 3 against 6 seed team will be the same 2 teams and probably on the same court
Won't happen. With video capabilities today, with other tools, and being a runner up last year, no one will overlook us this year. We've been shown to be weak at the 3 and 4, that our bench is mediocre at best, and that the heart of this program for this season is sitting on the 3rd toilet of the locker room in Gainbridge. Purdue will be lucky to win one game in the show this year. But the boys will certainly be rested.

For all the complaint about lack of depth and drop off after the top three (not just by you), it’s funny that when we’ve lost this year, it’s generally because the big three play like shit.

Yes, more support would be helpful, but your best players also need to show up.

True to a point. When you best ain't your best someone else needs to step up and on this team, that doesn't happen because the bench is so weak.

You can kiss the #4 seed good bye. it'snot because we lost. But rather the way we looked in losing.

we had issues beating USC.
