The only thing a prevent defense prevents is a win. Nobody and I mean NOBODY proves this better than Purdue. If they play a prevent with the lead they'll lose and have lost 75 to 80 percent of the time. Probably 90 percent of the time if the lead is a TD or less. Fortune favors THE BOLD. It has and always will. Aggressive 100 percent of the time or lose and it's as simple as that.
