It is interesting the lack of fiery temperaments in the Keady coaching tree, at least in comparison to the master. From today's St. Louis Post Dispatch...

Ehh, I was at games with Keady and I honestly don't remember him truly berating officials by calling them names and I think officials realized that with his long tenure at Purdue...he more or so made a show to try to get that point across. There are some guys who I know curse and call officials names and why they don't get T'd up more is beyond me....but let me be the first to appreciate that CMP does not make an ass of himself and thus make an ass of Purdue and anyone affiliated with it.It is interesting the lack of fiery temperaments in the Keady coaching tree, at least in comparison to the master.

It's gone out of style, but there are still a few around, mostly of the older generation. A few off hand:I mean, it's more so the overall climate that has changed. There are hardly any "Gene Keady" temperaments at all in college basketball.
