Prayers for those in harms way

What many don’t realize is the danger also includes those that are inland and are receiving the outburst and flooding from its bands. We live in Ohio and had gusts of wind up to 60 mph and loss of power and flooding. One member of my family basically lost their home because of flooding. She lives near Sarasota which was not in the exact path of the storm. My thoughts are with all those whose lives were affected

Can't imagine. North Carolina looks horrible. Boone County is devastated

I used to live in Raleigh and have lots of friends in Asheville, Boone, and Hickory. I've heard from all the people in my circle, and they're OK, but thousands of others have lost everything, and that doesn't include potential loss of life. Just an immense amount of rain and some serious wind damage. Last I checked with my friends in Asheville, they had no power, no cell service, no running water, and no WiFi. Others who depend on electricity for oxygen and other needs are definitely suffering.

My friends did get to a Publix to check in, but it sounds just awful, especially around Chimney Rock and a few other places.
