From Painter: ''We got a little passive with our guard play, which allowed Maryland to get back in the game. We had played so well to build a double-digit lead. This was a big win against a very good Top 10 team.''

From AJ:
Purdue's senior center A.J. Hammons pulled sophomore guard Dakota Mathias aside for a conversation.
''I gave him a pep talk,'' Hammons said, ''I told him, ''Shoot it, don't pass it.'' That allowed me to get great position inside.''

I love both of them. Painter wants our guards to be more aggressive and AJ trying to be a leader.

ROCK ON ...

It was nice to see PJ finally take the ball up court with some authority. Everyone else was being pretty passive. His play down the stretch saved us.

Hammons is the least likely of our players to motivate ANYONE. he needs to start with himself. He made ONE play where he was aggressive today where he took names and wouldn't take no for an answer. he's awful with that situation.

Well, I did say "trying" and what AJ said did seem to work well.

Wow, did you really watch the game? ...or do you just like to come on here and act like a rabid Purdue fan, posting really dumb things, to pull our legs? Again, what is your deal here?

Disagree, he was very aggressive and had great positioning all night long even if he didn't have the facial expressions to go with it.

The putback slam was just a product of the position that he'd been fighting all game. Didn't let Diamond Stone get one-on-one post points at all.

You're not fooling anyone.

Everyone should just go ahead and use the ignore feature for honey badger. I used to think he was being a little tic and humerous but it's kind of like that high school friend that wants to tell you about his 3TD junior varsity game and had it not been for a teacher failing him and the coach hating him, he could have been in the NFL. Same stupid stuff but a different day.

It's a guy named Aaron Schall, who always makes new ID's on here after he gets banned. honey_badger and boiler_deuce are 2 of his accounts I've been seeing recently.

Done... my first ignore.

My ignore list numbers are directly proportional to my enjoyment on the board...I highly recommend using this feature.

Dakota "works" on making the pass. Many others just make it. when Dakota is hitting and driving effectively it is like having an extra player on the team.

and everyone thought Lee Harvey Oswald was the lone assassin. I have done nothing to get banned, I have no idea what you are talking about regarding someone named Schall, i have NEVER created other accounts.

I was wondering what message I missed that was generating the responses. Then it dawned on me, I put that clown on ignore yesterday
