Good grief, so has IT and especially Sasha. They have had so many chances compared to Newman, with their horrid play.
All credit to Newman for sticking with it, getting jumpers up, keeping steady, and encouraging his teammates during what had to be a demoralizing and deflating period.
Maybe it’s been so obvious that Newman should be on the court. Even a stubborn coach admits he made a mistake

Especially thompson. Other than non con dude has been a no show the entire season and just flat out is not a big ten level guy. Not only that, newman has shown he can be a versatile offensive weapon and deserved to play through his struggles.
Then when Newman misses some shots, you can pine for Wheeler or someone from the transfer portal.
Newman has done more on both side of the ball in that spurt than IT and Sasha combined, not even close.
IMO Newman should start and have Sasha come of the bench

Well CMP said he does well in practice and has a good attitude but maybe he was kidding too. Lol. Unless Newman was hurt, there’s no excuse for him to be ridding on the pine for 3 months.
No it wasn't. Painter knows he made a mistake benching newman the last one and a half months.
