We need a 17 commitment in the worse way. Once you start losing out it has a tendency to proliforate IMHKO.

Recruiting is central to winning. Some people are great at it, some try to be, but are only average as they pick through the remainders after the first bunch have their way........

Good thing we banked some scholarships to accommodate all these guys.
At this point, I would rather Painter bank some of these for 2018, than sign a bunch of 3 star role players. Maybe pick up some 5th years in the spring.

He can then hopefully sell IMMEDIATE playing time to that class, as they will have no choice but to play most of them.

This is assuming we don't get eastern, and Tillman, which is looking fairly likely.

That is what Painter did with 2016 scholarships. Had one commit for 2016. He is a complete oh-fer with one of the best Indiana classes in many years. Could not get a sniff from Wilkes or Scruggs, missed on Williams and Jackson. Young, could not get him here for an official. One has to wonder.

Why wait until 2018 to sell playing time? Should have done that or be doing it now. Stretch the truth, get recruits to say "Yes".

A big oh for about 7 or 8 since the contract extension. Fool me once. Fool the AD over and over.

Precisely why Burke had no business at all extending his contract...as a lousy AD, and a lame duck one on top of it, never mind that it was not warranted, there was no reason for the extension at the time that it was done.

Never before has it been as clear as it is at this time just how much of a joke the Athletic Department is, yet a clear reflection of the guy in charge.
