That’s been dunks. His misses have been the little hooks that were automatic not just in college but also in the Summer & pre-season…

Nice line for him last night. If he can consistently stay on the court for 20+ minutes and come close to a double double on high efficiency that’s a really nice rookie season.
for sure. It seems the grizz have him on a mins restriction or something. They’re still learning how to play with/use Zach.Nice line for him last night. If he can consistently stay on the court for 20+ minutes and come close to a double double on high efficiency that’s a really nice rookie season.
I think he’s been fine actually against centers (obviously the first game he found out how diff it was) and he’s been playing pretty well against guards when he switches. But it think the last part you mention is the key. They aren’t playing through him/dont fully understand how to use him. Not sure if they ever will but def agree on that last part you mention. It's a lot different going up against a starting caliber NBA center every night. He will figure it out, but it's also different when you're not just fed the ball on the block for a whole game. You don't have that kind of rhythm.
He was the #1 pick in the draft. The good news is he is currently second place in ROTY odds at +500. Some foreign player I've never heard of is first right now at +300 so nobody appears to got off to a great start. If Edey can rnd up getting 24+ mpg I think he can put up the stats to win the award.
Agree and it’s obvious that Zach is still learning as well.Didn’t miss this:

His names Jay Huff and he's playing very well.Didn’t miss this:

Huff is a fourth year player out of UVA that is on a two-way contract from the G league and is currently splitting the minutes with Edey on the Griz. His names Jay Huff and he's playing very well.
i've been watching a few minutes of each game (UZZU is awesome) and Huff is not what you think of when you think 2 way players. He's been impactful and a real energizer bunny on the floor. Sure doens't look the part. LOLHuff is a fourth year player out of UVA that is on a two-way contract from the G league and is currently splitting the minutes with Edey on the Griz.
Ryan Dunn on Phoenix, Jaylen Wells on the Grizzlies, and Jamal Shead on Toronto have probably been the best and most featured rookies so far. Edey is one of the very few that starts.
If Edey stops starting or his minutes go down below 15 per I'd expect him to get a little G League time so that he can play 25+ mpg. That's what the Warriors did with TJD during rookie season, and thereafter they had Trayce as a 20+ mpg starter by the end of that same season.
Huff's not a long-term (or maybe even a short-term) NBA starter. Clearly they drafted Edey with hopes he'll be their guy, but they may want to get him development minutes so that they can build a rotation that can do damage in the playoffs. To get him on the court for 30+ minutes per game G League could work -- 15 minutes per game in Memphis is not the way for him to get there. But, if he can effectively handle 20+ minutes in their starting lineup then the G League won't be necessary.i've been watching a few minutes of each game (UZZU is awesome) and Huff is not what you think of when you think 2 way players. Like I said. Pay almost no attention to the crap product outside of a few Purdue connections. He was the #1 pick in the draft.

I just looked up Huff's stats and I must be seeing every basket and rebound he gets each game in the minutes I watch.. LOL.Huff's not a long-term (or maybe even a short-term) NBA starter. Unless he's a complete liability, there's no chance they want to send him to the G League.Huff's not a long-term (or maybe even a short-term) NBA starter. Dang look at that, ANOTHER block on a quicker guard/forward that we were told he wouldn’t be able to do in the nba:Another solid night for Big Maple. 10 points and 10 boards in 22 minutes of playing time. Three fouls. 😬 11/2/24.
When did he misquote you?He played with JJJ basically for the first time. He opened the door for jjj to do his thing. This is why the grizzlies drafted him. The nba is an 82 game season. I expect Edey to have a couple of off nights. Maybe he’ll win rookie of the year. Maybe he won’t . But he is a good fit for the grizzlies and should have a solid nba career!
And the next time bbg misquotes me and my posts, I’ll throw this in his face! For somebody who ignores me and blocks me, he sure seems to misquote me a lot!

The last time you claimed he misquoted you, your quote was reposted and he was accurate. Hot damn! On 9/10 shooting! Not missing much tonight. 21 and 11 with 4mins left.
That might have been wishful thinking. He played great tonight. Not sure how he doesn’t get more PT. Where the IU fans saying he could get called down to the G league?
