OT - $7 million for top 2025 player

if you do a little research and visit some other sites, you will find that money did not come from BYU. That money came from two private sources. he would have received the same amount of NIL money no matter what school he chose.

I've said this over 100 times, players can make their own NIL deals. they are not dependent on the school for their NIL money.

My source ? the internet . go anywhere where they talk basketball, and put in his name and NIL after it and you'll find the truth. he already had received $4 mil of his NIL deal from Nike before he even chose to commit to any school. He also had a second lucrative NIL deal from a source outside of BYU. he could have signed anywhere and that money would be the same.

He chose BYU primarily because their entire coaching staff has connections to the NBA as prior coaches.
No one suggested otherwise. Your reading comprehension is atrocious.

No dude. He chose BYU because they are giving him $7M. Their main donor is a billionaire who owns the Jazz and who a BYU alum.

AJ used Bama and UNC to up the price from 5M to 7M at BYU. Source: the internet.

This was always a cash grab by him and his “team”. This byu staff hasn’t put anyone in the nba yet and their team isn’t any good vs any team that’s good. And I know this may shock you, but most high level, P4 programs have connections to the NBA by previously coaching there or developing relationships over their career.

I wonder how that works legally for the church. Is it a charitable donation? How would taxes on it work? Mormons just out here shoveling out money for CBB and CFB.
Do you know many Mormons? I used to live in Idaho. Gorgeous country, nice people, but those Mormons are overtly crooked and don't even care.
