Oops ... Fred thought he'd booked Penn Southern

NONSENSE. Wisky is a top 10 program as was Iowa 2 seasons ago. Likewise, Northwestern, Minnesota and Nebraska were ranked during the same period. 5 ranked teams and its the worst division in Power 5 football? LOL!!

BTW, who is IU playing next week? Hanover College?
Which one of those teams will make a January 1 bowl game this year, not name Wisc.?

A cupcake schedule for IU, would be playing in the BIG TEN WEST. Probably the worst Division in power 5 football.
IU is a joke, and is going to get exposed for the frauds they are in the coming weeks. Your new QB is going to get pounded by the teams coming up.
Michigan L
@MSU L
@ Maryland L
Wisconsin L

After that stretch, IU will be out of steam, pretty much decimated and beat down. IU may beat Illinois @ Illinois and Rutgers because these are the two worst teams in the conference right now (IU is trending that way). Purdue is going to beat IU at home and get the Bucket back. And we're going to be keeping it for quite a while.

IU = 5-7 at best. Who knows, 5-7 may still qualify IU for a bowl this season.

Yes! very tough schedule next four. Wish we had your next four, Wisc, Rutgers,Neb and Ill. Wow very tough, LOL.

Quit your whining. IU wanted to be in the BIG East. At the time, PSU was down and so was Michigan. IU is legitimately staring at last place in the BIG East - right where you belong.

LOL! you made my point, about how weak the west is. Look at your non-conf. schedule, at the time you guys thought Missouri was a great win.
And Missouri would house every one on your non-conference schedule. Purdue is a good team...not a great one as showed by the struggles with UL and UM. When there has been relatively equal talent levels, Purdue has dominated. The only reason yesterday wasn't a total blowout (very easily should have been 28-7 at half) was Purdue likely played their worst half of offensive football of the year with 4to's and still won the game.

The real issue with IU football is the low level High School coach they hired to replace Wilson. Like Crean, he's a hell of a talker...you just can't understand what he's trying to say and he has no record of ever heading up a program save a two year stint at Ben Davis where they sucked swampwater under his leadership.

When the season started, I thought IU would beat PU to retain the bucket again, but after watching the Allen coached IU Hoosiers, the Boilers will win by 20.

IU needs a cupcake schedule every year.

He may be a high school coach but he has landed some players the Boilers would love to have. The QB out of Ben Davis is going to be special. If they put the money into a legit OC, he could have them clicking. Yes, right now their schedule is awful, but they got some good young pieces coming in.

With all that said, I think Purdue wins the next 5. CJB has proven himself to have a heck of an eye for talent and developing talent. If he manages to flip Moore from Texas and land Karliftis and Kiser, watch out. Those are elite players that's purdue hasn't landed in a very long time! It will be tough for IU to challenge unless they land a special OC.

You are funny, IUPACK. Bringing up our non-conference schedule when IU schedules, Florida International, Georgia Southern and Charleston Southern.......all in the same season. Note to IU: You only schedule ONE of those teams a season. You play your peers in the other non-conference games.......unless you think that Georgia Southern and Charleston Southern are your peers, which I can completely understand. :D

You do realize that IU played an ACC team on the road, and scheduled two G5 teams, one of which (Ga. Southern) had a 56-23 record from 2010-2015 when they were scheduled. They also beat Bowling Green in a bowl game in 2015 by 31, yes they are not good this year, but you don’t know that when the scheduling is done.
The game with Charleston this weekend was forced upon them by a hurricane, no one in their right mind would choose to play Ga. Tech on the road instead, that’s crazy. Plus the fact they only had 6 home games this year already, they needed to schedule a replacement home game.
I don’t know if it is still true, but earlier this year Charleston had a higher sagarin rating than FIU.
Charleston cant even complete a pass.

Why don't we switch, you play our non-conf. schedule and we play your conference schedule. IU would love that.

Need I remind you that Crean consistantly landed better recruits than Painter save Biggie? It ain't what you got, it's what you do with what you got. Allen has no clue and his assistants are landing the recruits. As for the BD QB...there's a question regarding his academics last I heard.

I can bet you money that Brohm wouldn't swap our QB from AZ (Plummer) for the BD guy and definitely wouldn't swap our recruiting class for IUs. What will IU people say when Rondale Moore and Karlaftis commit?

Who cares what IU says. We are supposed to have better recruits. Purdue was actually a top football program once and is set to return to glory. Purdue has an elite coach and just made a huge investment in facilities.

As for Allen, he is a good defensive coach and a decent recruitor consideringn IU isn't a football coach. Even when IU went to 3 straight bowl games, it was because of a cupcake non-con. At .500 they were still a bad football team. They weren't going to sign an elite coach or invest in the program. Allen is doing just fine for his situation.

They are still a bad football team. The next bunch of games is going to prove that.

You think they win those games with Wilson? Because I don't. Wilson had IU playing the best it's played since the 80's. I haven't seen a drop off. IU hasn't lost a game that I though they would have won with Wilson, and I imagine that continues throughout the year. No, I don't think they are a bowl team. If they did qualify, they would be one of the worst teams to make it. I just don't understand why Allen is getting killed. They weren't going to hire a better coach. It really is that simple.

Ya know....any schedule that includes playing Ohio State, Michigan, Wisconsin, Penn State, and Michigan State cannot, by any stretch of the imagination, be considered easy. Purdue's non-con was tougher than IU's...IU's B10 is tougher than Purdue's. So, who gives a *hit? We'll play in November - then you can brag and boast. Hopefully, IU will have already earned a bowl berth because retaining the Bucket (for a 5th straight year) will be difficult for sure.

You know what would be interesting? If both IU and Purdue are at 5 wins heading into the bucket game.

That wouldn't be interesting....for Boiler Nation that would be money in the bank....with a bonus of keeping IU out of a Bowl.

Pretty good chance of that happening...I for one would not like to see it come down to the Purdue game for IU to get it's 6th win. As for some of the posters here who know for certain the outcome of IU's remaining games, all I can say is "bet the house". They are all locks.

Also, thanks for the civility Boiler1987.

Yeah, because there are NO IU FANS who are confident about their team.

Goodness. Overreact much?

Having watched the IU/Meatchicken game, I think a Wilson coached team would have defeated UofM. Michigan is young and is having trouble putting away the teams they should steam roll......and that includes IU.
