Needs to be someone who has PROVEN they can successfully run a wide open offense. Purdue has rarely been successful without a top notch passing attack. Was really hoping for Garrett Riley as HC. Any suggestions for OC?

Agree, but that should have been top priority in the HC, not an after thought or “piece to add”.
It's going to take a fair amount of money AND a willingness to work for a first-time head coach.
I don't think he meant you.Why would I coach for someone less qualified than I would be as an OC. Pass
I am really hoping the OC is already in place.Needs to be someone who has PROVEN they can successfully run a wide open offense. Purdue has rarely been successful without a top notch passing attack. Was really hoping for Garrett Riley as HC. Any suggestions for OC?

He just turned down an offer from A&M in the 2 + million range to be the OC.What is Garret Riley making at TCU? We SHOULD be able to pay 1.2m for OC
I’m sure he’s waiting for an HC opening. He just turned down an offer from A&M in the 2 + million range to be the OC.
Joe Moorhead for OC and Desmond Tardy for wr's coachI’m sure he’s waiting for an HC opening.
Moorhead is a Head Coach right now. He ain’t comingJoe Moorhead for OC and Desmond Tardy for wr's coach
That’s the problem. All the great offensive minds are head coaches. Or become head coaches in short order.Moorhead is a Head Coach right now. He ain’t coming
He's not coming to Purdue to be an OC...What is Garret Riley making at TCU? We SHOULD be able to pay 1.2m for OC
The only way this MAYBE works is if Brian Brohm decides he wants to break away from Jeff. Otherwise, we're gonna have flavor of the month from an offense perspective. Who the hell is coming to Purdue to work under an unproven defensive coach. This just has dumpster fire written all over it...That’s the problem. All the great offensive minds are head coaches. Deion isn't staying at Colorado long. Bring in Shephard as the oc/associate head coach and we have our next head coach ready assuming we have success and Colorado wants their son back.Needs to be someone who has PROVEN they can successfully run a wide open offense. he's making $ 500,000/yr at AkronMoorhead is a Head Coach right now. He ain’t coming
If I was a betting man, he was probably higher on the hire list than the one we actually got.Deion isn't staying at Colorado long. Bring in Shephard as the oc/associate head coach and we have our next head coach ready assuming we have success and Colorado wants their son back.
Can't believe he turned down the hc job.If I was a betting man, he was probably higher on the hire list than the one we actually got.
Can't see this being a viable scenario at all
Can't believe he turned down the hc job.
Probably because Morg, I mean Bobo, cheaped out like it was rumored he did with Helton...

Interesting
This comment cannot be overstated. Who will want to work for him? Serious assistants worry about where they are going and who they will work for. What can a FT HC teach them? It's going to take a fair amount of money AND a willingness to work for a first-time head coach.

He will have to hire someone who is currently a position coach, or a fired coordinator.
No way. I’d take him with DeBoer or even as a HC but we would have zero offensive play calling experience in our staff. With a defensive HC I think we need someone with experience calling plays as OC.JaMarcus Shepherd
Where'd you hear this? Quick search on him looks like he may be a good fit. Former head coach. Possible TX recruiting in roads. It's rumored we'll likely get Seth Littrell as our OC. He just got canned at North Texas...
