I thought I had come across something on here somewhere that indicated that the games this weekend were going to be televised, but I was not able to find anything online or looking through the channel guide either...are the games not televised this weekend?

ESPN3 on Saturday and either ESPNU or 2 on Sunday depending on if Championship or consolation.

From my understanding, Saturday's game with ODU is scheduled for Noon (EST) and is available through ESPN3.

I haven't seen Naje's game post yet.

I finally found through Bleacher Report information regarding television for the event...although it does not list ESPNU for the consolation game on Sunday. ESPN3 is listed for all games other than the "championship" game at 5:30 on Sunday on ESPN2. Disappointing certainly, especially with all of the marginal and other games that few would seemingly care about or watch...BTN has never been good early in the year with respect to coverage, in particular of Purdue, and that is more disappointing for sure. I don't believe that the radio broadcast is available either on Saturday due to the conflict with the football game unfortunately. Thanks for the reply and information.

Last year we were told that we weren't getting coverage because we sucked. Once we get good again, we'll get the coverage we deserve...

Somebody remind me again what I'm getting by having BTN on DISH. First it's pay for the BTN2GO crap and now it's watch it on the computer. Oh, I forgot BTN is so I won't miss any exciting FB.

For basically about half of the conference games and some BTT games. I usually get the package for a couple of months for BB season; I think ten of the regular season conference games are on BTN this season.

Road: (Wisc, Illinois, Rutgers, Iowa, Minnesota, and Nebraska)
Home: (Iowa, Penn State, Nebraska, and NW)

Have to get it if you want to see Purdue face its most hated rival.

Ironically, for football this year, a good chunk of the "games" were on the ESPN networks.....it's good not to have all your eggs in one basket......so I've heard.

Unless a game is being played on a B1G campus or is a B1G event (e.g. Conference Tournament) then BTN doesn't have television rights. They'd have had to pay somebody to pick up this weekend's games and they've never been known to do that for any school. Even if they did, they'd have football conflicts on Saturday and would only be splitting their viewership between football and basketball vs. driving an audience to their network. The only viewers they'd gain would be whatever ODU fans might tune in. Pretty much a losing proposition all around.

So the radio isn't going to broadcast the game due to the sucky football team having a game. We all know they will get blown out anyway.

Yes, but it's the most hated rival! Can't miss epic drama of two Midwest heartland institutions "battling" it out on the gridiron.

Makers All!

Saturdays are tough to get on TV this time of year with college football going on.

Football ratings >>> Basketball ratings. It's a no brainer for a network. I'm hoping I can get ESPN3 through Roku. I haven't checked yet.
I use Chromecast, but you should be able to get it "LIVE" on Roku at least Roku 3...no sure about a replay option

I was able to replay Butler last night and so replays are good for a day or so as well with Roku

Forgive me if I'm just off my rocker here, but ESPN3 archives everything for a year. Not sure with those services if you can log-in to ESPN3 online and stream, but just saying (I've only done that through Apple TV).

I watched it on espn 3 last night and streamed it to my TV thru Apple TV! It worked great.
Also, if you don't have AppleTV or Chromecast, if your kids have a gaming station of some sort (PlayStation, X-Box, etc), just plug your computer into the HDMI cable that hooks the game console to the TV. I've done this with all the streaming games so far this season, and it's worked great. Much better than the whole family crowding around the laptop to watch.

I don't know. I know if I use my Roku and only saw a day or so listed..perhaps a search would show more. I normally have the DVR and just record and it is never an issue, but ESPN3 is the one I don't use much. I'll have to check it out. thanks

I just had a flashback to one of those old Far Side sketches....
