Purdue did a good job of riding the players a little higher on the perimeter screens and we’re not trailing as bad. Trey and Caleb helped stop the ball on dribble penetration. Lastly, it is almost as though they told Braden to be like aLike Purdue's D today
Last rodeo and now is the time. Pre big allowed some others more minutes. But Matt needs his quickness and size and play hard from him. His quickness helps defend the dribble and he battles and keeps the ball alive.Man it sure seems like something has clicked for Caleb too.
Ha ha sounds like Larry Bird
He needs to watch Caleb Furst and keep working. If we can just get that production from Furst each game - with Cox continuing to improve, few 3s from Colvin, few buckets from Harris we still have some growth coming the next two months! Heide is beyond frustrating right now but he still has time.
"Lazy" many times is a sign of fatigueYeah smith now with 5 turnovers. Last two were totally lazy and due to the score haha
Well maybe lack of concentration/not taking it as seriously since he could do whatever he wanted all game. He didn’t come out until he finally sat, correct?"Lazy" many times is a sign of fatigue
remember last year when many didn't want Trey at the 4? Trey as a 4 man didn't fit the optic for what many thought a 4 man has to do, but three perimeter players instead of four has its advantages as well.Tough to play small ball when a lot of the B1G has multiple 7 footers
fatigue also affect concentration and yes I don't think he came out until the end. Fatigue makes cowards of us all.” – Vince LombardiWell maybe lack of concentration/not taking it as seriously since he could do whatever he wanted all game. He didn’t come out until he finally sat, correct?

It’s why Gillis was so goodI hear you TJ. Also, I would take about anyone at the 4 if you give me ZE at the 5.
I'm biased in that I just like a two bigs and three perimeter. Could improve the team with a lot of previous 5s, but I have hope that Caleb continues to improve his play and he does offer some quickness inside...and if Burgess is improving as well...Purdue will be much better inside and actually be solid I believe.I hear you TJ. Just need to be playing best ball by mid Feb and into March! Something we haven’t seen very much of due to the team being a well oiled machine already in the early parts of the season.I'm biased in that I just like a two bigs and three perimeter. I'm liking Burgess' progress. Showing more hustle and understanding of his role every time out. Now that the first three has fallen, I expect him to play a more impactful role.
Meanwhile, what's up with Cam? I thought he was gonna be a star this year.
Man I hope so... He has all the God given natural talent. Would be pity to waste 6'7 with elite athleticism.Good stand still shooter. Great hops. Not much past that. With strength and work, I suspect he might be a player in a couple years?

4-10 nowFirst 3 has fallen? He is 3-9 on the season.
Would be nice if it was down the stretch this year. But at least hopeful it’s NEXT yearGood stand still shooter. Great hops. Not much past that. With strength and work, I suspect he might be a player in a couple years?
We all hope so. It is all under his controlMan I hope so... He has all the God given natural talent. Would be pity to waste 6'7 with elite athleticism.
I'd expect that tonight was a low point for Cam and that he'll still play a significant role this year. It's clear that at this point he's a complimentary player who plays off of others. As Braden, Trey, and Fletch settle into a groove I expect that Cam will figure out how to compliment them on offense, i.e. find the right spots when his man doubles, consistently be ready to shoot, etc.Would be nice if it was down the stretch this year. But at least hopeful it’s NEXT year
Weather was a non factor coming from NWI all the way down to West Lafayette and back after the game, but impacted those driving up from central Indiana.Students still aren't back and potential weather issues from what I understand.
