Nick Medline (covers Northwestern) reporting on twitter

I worry about Purdue's focus on D than I do other teams and their guys. When we are focused on D, our offense can take care of anyone. When they do not.....teams tend to put up 83+ on us....regardless of what team it is, what guys they have....that lack of D focus will always increase our chance @ a loss.

It's a long season. Few teams survive without some physical glitches along the way.

NU has four players out: Lindsey (mono), Taphorn (sprained ankle), Falzon (knee - out for season), and Ivanauskus (shoulder - out for season).
We will only have 8 scholarship players for the game.

NU has had injuries ruin just about every season the last 8 years. Usually they're season-ending injuries to our best players like Crawford, Coble, Cobb, Swopshire, Hearns, Shurna, Law, Olah, VanZegeren; now Lindsey, Falzon. It happens to a lot of teams (see Indiana), but it seems to happen every stinking year for us. Hopefully, we'll have enough to get to the tourney.

Injuries and and first time starters did not stop Nebraska from beating us.
