Durham, Anderson, Taylor, marks and others choosing Purdue over other P5 teams. Wasn't too long ago guys were choosing us over middle of the pack MAC teams. Just think this is Brohms first true class too.

Maybe I missed it, but where were Anderson and Marks P5 offers?
I know Marks had it down to purdue and southern miss.
No other schools really mentioned for Anderson. I doubt rivals profile is accurate either.
Durham, Taylor clearly had P5 offers.
And for the record, I like all of these commits but wanted to do a little fact checking here
Anderson was a decomit from Rutgers. He also had several other offers from P5 schools. I am not going to do your research for you, but if you go to 247 you can see he had several and even visited BC. Anderson was a very good get, and his ranking should show that.
McKenna was the first one I noticed. Best OL in Ohio and he not only had good offers, but scouts have praised him. He will be an absolute monster.
What I have loved is that most of the commits have moved up in the rankings. He has been very good at scouting local talent and seeing things others have missed. The biggest example is Cory Trice. Unrated and now he looks to be one of the best players coming into the class. I am all for taking a chance if they can play.
I am surprised he took 3 more commits. My guess is that was why we had so many decomits in the past few weeks. CJB wanted to add a TE, DT, WR and a RB. He is still going after Moore, but I don't know that Purdue adds anybody else. This class is the best Purdue is had in a long time and could be something special. There are a lot of pieces to build on. Not to mention, the '19 class is off to a decent start. Karliftas had a lot of good offers as a junior, and he picked us.
Very true. Not sure how they can get a good read on some of these kidsMuch depends on the supporting staff that these kids have on their HS teams. It's hard to evaluate a RB if the OL is a bunch of runts, ditto a WR if the QB cannot throw.

To say that Karlaftis had "a lot of good offers" is disingenuous at best. He had a lot of great offers, fabulous offers, NC-type offers, and he picked us.
I think you will agree that is more accurate. And hopefully more telling for our future recruiting under CJB and staff.
Camps and the evaluation of other trusted coaches from camps you couldn’t yourself attend.Very true. Not sure how they can get a good read on some of these kids
Easy, no need for anger in here....let's all be happy and grateful that we have something positive to write/discuss regarding recruiting after the past decadeThere are two Andersons! The WR Anderson had a lot of offers and decommited from Rutgers! The RB Anderson who committed yesterday fro Georgia - not so much!
True and communicating with their coach too.Camps and the evaluation of other trusted coaches from camps you couldn’t yourself attend.
